$60 dollar vs. $300 dollar seeds

Is the price differance that drastic in quality with all things being equal (growing conditons etc.)? Or is it simply branding. The yields appear about the same. A Toyota is one price a Lexus an other but they are the same car.

The high priced seeds tend to have more stable genetics. Also, people can charge $300 because they've built a reputation for the seeds such as being Cannabis Cup winners.

I actually asked this question to a seed breeder I met at one of the Cannabis Cups and he explained that with a lot of the budget seeds, people are actually buying the high priced seeds, seeding out the plants and reselling the seeds so instead of a F1 hybrid you could be getting a F2 hybrid, for example, so your plants will not have the consistency.

In many cases, however, you can get high quality from low costs seeds but ultimately you get what you pay for. I was able to get some outstanding Durban Poison x Northern Lights seeds that were being given out for free at the 2005 Cannabis Cup.

The high priced seeds don't necessarily have higher yield but there are other qualities that are important such as taste and aroma. As an analogy, people don't buy fine wines based on a higher alcohol content.

Check out kindseed.com I would reccomend nycd/grapefruit. High yields w/ huge taste and hard to control smell. i can smell the weed in my pocket. Good prices. Also they gaurentee 90% germ rates or they will reship more. I have had the best luck with seeds from BC. hope this helps, check out my avatar for proof

Kind Seeds is the best; they always deliver as promised. MY germination rates from KIND is about 70% - that is very, very good.

The best strains for your dollar are Serious Seeds. Hands down. All the others are a crap shoot at best. Not a Serious fan boy. But their genetics are stable, and world class. All of their strains breed true.

Kind Seeds is one of the biggest rip-offs there are. Take a look at the listings here for Sagarmatha Seeds Marijuana Seeds Kind Seed - Amsterdam, Sagarmatha
Matanuska Tundra.... $310? :spew:

Now, what would you expect to pay for the same ten seeds of the same strain at Dr. Chronic, everyonedoesit, etc., for example? $138. Sagarmatha seeds

What possible explanation could there be for the price difference? Kind Seeds is sticking their hairy arm up your ass and grabbing your extra cash. They aren't offering you anything different, yet double the price. Never buy from them again.

It appears each co. has their OVER PRICED and UNDER PRICED seed - but thanks a lot for he heads up. Keep in mind the genetics; I wonder if the overall grow consistency is the same on both the high and low cost seed Matanuska Tundra. I think they all charge too much for seeds; but I guess if the market bares it all is good.

yup prce is eual to demand.development, quality and availiability.70% germ rate is very low for quality seeds you should buy else where should be at least 90% germ rate at worst

serious seeds is hands down the best most stable genetics out there. They spend all their manpower maintaining and improving the five strains they have. I hear simon is comining up with a new strain also.

i think when it comes to germrate u have to first off have a good seed (one that doesnt break when squeezing it as hard as u can ) and they way u germ it i think also affect the germrate
