6 cobs in a square. Hexagon array?

hey guys, I'm trying to determine how to obtain the most uniform coverage with 6 COBs in a square... Each time I draw this out my head starts to melt. I had initially settled on a pentagon with the 6th being in the center but I'm worried about a central hot spot.

Thoughts? Thanks!

If you're using 90 degree optics (or no optics in a reflective area) a rough calc is 2:1 spread to height. A cob 12 inches above the canopy will provide a 24" spread, 6 inches above the canopy will provide a 12" spread, and you can raise another inch or two to even out the intensity. All things being equal the center will have the highest reading so providing a little extra space between the rows will help even the intensity as well.
