All good bro. I kindoff laughed when I finished cleaning second time ;)

Dried weight:
14x Critical+ 2.0 - 1191g
1x Frisian Dew - 26g
I am looking hard at the pics, what did you do to improve access? Is the res outside now?

What is the new fan speed controller that you got? I’ve been looking into a new controller to combat high night time humidity.. single speed 24/7 isn’t cutting it

Are You planning to automate the process ? I'm using 5speed manual controller and I've got that one

Don't think they make it anymore as I recently wanted to get the same for a friend and couldnt find it.

Watercooled fixture went out and new light setup came in.

10x FB24B 3000K strips on 2x 480H-48b drivers.
Same power (~960W accouting for driver losses) with better spread. No extra pumps required and all heat stays in the tent. Simplier system means less of a chance of brakedowns.

IMG_20190205_100730.jpg IMG_20190204_175915__01.jpg IMG_20190208_142559.jpg IMG_20190208_152428__01__01.jpg IMG_20190208_162947__01__01.jpg IMG_20190208_142502__01__01__01.jpg IMG_20190208_143008__01__01.jpg

And some smaller improvements to the system. Smaller drippers with one extra dripper per pot so I will be able to water more than 3 times a day (1min timer limitation).
IMG_20190204_114111.jpg
...and new mixer in nutrient tank instead of two small pumps. A bit overkill but hey... I like overkill

I did experiment this round and didn't do defoliation. It was visible that in this setup, where canopy isnt that thick (~30-40cm max) , light can penetrate all of it and defoliation isnt necessary other than some odd leaf plucking.

Pure coco worked better than coco+biochar, but mix was heavy so i might try it out again at some stage.

Drip clean + Megacrop + CalMag (canna) is causing nutes to separate. Will stop using drip clean and only do cleaning after each round. Instead of liquid calmag I will go back to using Epsom only. I think plants reacted better to Mg+Sulfur only.

You might want to try pickle crisp for calcium, its calcium chloride and available in the canning isle at your grocery store. I use 1 tsp per gal and rotate with epsom. I think the additional mg in cal mag is unnecessary and possibly detrimental.

I was looking at those... how do they work? Do you have to mount the fan/thermostat in the tent? Turns out using a heater to control night time temps keeps the humidity from spiking

Sensor probe in tent, what it can acomplishish depends, for me the fan intake air is suitable for cooling and dehumidification.
The reason humidity shows lower when the air is heated is that the reading is relative to the amount of moisture the air could hold. Warmer air can hold more moisture, a deuhumidifier is a better tool to use to remove moisture and increase temps.
The unit works well, it has a 2 stage alert/alarm program logic, the user sets the alert level (how fast the fan runs and at what temp/humidity it turns on) and an alarm level (temp/humidity) when fan will go full blast.

Is there a day and night setting? I’m really trying to keep my temp difference to a ten degree minimum. Trying to limit the stretch on two insane in the membrane. usually deal with about a 20 degree difference which I feel makes most strains get too stretchy65C4F066-E499-43D3-BEEE-E93158139116.jpeg

No not really, but sort of.
There are 4 conditions that can cause it to run high or low temp and/or humidity. If you can heat the intake air, then you could set the low temp accordingly.

Sorry to hijack thread T.

Dont worry about the hijack, I dont mind as long as it's a civil conversation ;)

I'm fiding LED are suckings Mg more then Cal tbh. How Mg is detrimental ? It's very hard to over do it.

Nice Fan! Is it loud ?

Quiet as hell, specially because it rarely ever hits full speed.

The way I understand it Ca and Mg are antagonists. Adding both at the same time is like increasing the traffic on a highway, sure more people get where they are going, but a drive on a country road would be more enjoyable.

Keeping them seperate (epsom and pickle crisp) allows everyone to get where they are going without getting in each others way.

I like epsom for the sulfur and imo when the plant is getting enough sulfur, there should be no reason for additional Mg, but it still needs calcium and towards the end I would like not to add N, megacrop has plenty, but not enough S or Ca

Thats my approach at least.

Problem with using them separate is my 150L tank, which lasts for about a week.
Even tho when You say MC is low on Ca i've found that plants stayed greener all the way till the end when I've used epsom only. Last round I've used canna cal-mag in crazy! amounts and still couldnt fix ocassional defficiencies.
One thing I've noticed is epsom rising EC quite a bit and the plants show that with burned tips , so cant go too hard with it. I will be experimenting with both to find the right spot. Maybe even go canna mono range to find the right balance. For now is back to K.I.S.S. route.

As for an updates...
I had some hard time starting those autoflowers , lost some precious time and they didnt fill the tents as much I would like then to, damnit :wall: . Some of them ( extras I've put in a week later) started flowering so it will still improve a bit.

Couldnt get 2gal fabric pots in my local shop so I had to stick them in a autopots I've cut. They fit perfectly in the drain channel and are even lower than the fabric pots. Thats a small bonus. I hope cause I have 4 drippers per pot, they will flush salts and low profile wont be a problem. I did even a nice top covers for them but since there is just 40% RH in the tent ( not enough green mass ) I'm not using them yet.

Re-did my ventilation. Air is now sucked from the top and on the bottom I've put two 16" oscilating fans. That should get all my problems I've had before sorted for now.

Far reds are off . Still hooking that up. I've already found the place and mounted them to the strips, just have to get the wiring done.

Im far from being happy right now:wall: :/
Back to Critical + 2.0 which I've already started soaking. Early start to iron out all the problems and train them.

Didnt even cross my mind about the res, I forget not everybody is as primitive as I, you would have to hand water one or the other or set a seperate res.

I dont notice the low calcium in mc per say as a yellowing but as a texture thing, leaves seem like tissue paper dellicate, I think the N in mc keeps them green. Interisting that with epsom only they stayed green, seems like the plant had stored enough Ca throughout the cycle that it didn't need it. This dosent really allign with MC being "low" on Ca so the explaination is beyond me.

When you say you used crazy amounts of cal mag and still had issues that to me says antagonistic relationship. I have wondered why they (the industry) has basically standardized cal mag as the way to deliver the two elements when the plants process of absorbtion/adsorbtion of one is hindered by the other. It must be that on average the forces play out to make for an average health plant. The analogy I will draw here is that if you have ever been quail hunting, you have to pick one of those suckers out of the flock, even though the sky may be black because they are blocking the sun, you cant just point the gun in the air and shoot. My $0.02.
IIRC you are in coco? It seems alot of people that use coco have more issues with ca and other micronutrients? I tried it once, didnt much care for it I'll take the slow growth and forgiveness of soil.

Im in hybrid as I am lazy fecker
I start plant in the peat pellets , then stick them in the dirt (dont have to worry much about dosing nutes) and then to coco and start feed routine.

I don't have a good eye/hand for nutes and cant recognise most of the symptoms. Still have to school myself every time I see Ca or Mg defficiency so I would take everything I say with a grain of salt ;)

Super Creative lighting as usual - that's bad ass bro! :hump:

What are those heat sinks?

Fighting with nute peoblems. Intake is a good bit off in different plants. Lowest level started flowering earliest and they are fully saturated with nutes. I was a bit concerned that they will get burned but I've increased nute strenght anyway, so the rest 10 plants could get better.
Will see how it goes...

3 plants that are in 0.5L containers still need more food and it got worse since last time but II don bother mixing separate nute for those. The rest of the plants stopped getting those problems. One of the plant didn't even start to flower and probably wont. Those autos are so genetically unstable thats the last time im using them :cuss:

Youngsters are getting ready. Im trying to slow them down so purposefully didnt up-pot yet. Maybe will do so tmrw.
BTW dont ever buy CaliforniaLightworks lights. There is zero customer support on those (Europe and US ). Mine broke down after not even 6months (fan stopped working) and eupean distributor didnt wanwant to help. I've tried directly contacting CaliforniaLightworks but never got any reply.
DO NOT BUY THAT product ! as there is no aftersale support.

I've put bigger and quieter fan inside 120mm and new 12V DC transoformator. Noticed blurple is notnot stress young plants as my bridgelux 5000k strips
