"Bubbs solo"
Strain: Bubblegummer (Female seeds co) feminized seed
Medium: Botanicare readygro moisture formula
Nutrients: Heavy 16
Light source: Philips cdm 860 watt bulb (outside of the 4x4ft area)

This has been another fun go at the 12/12 from solo cup comp, as my second time in I learned a lot from my first go around. I will stick to the details as to why I am happy with my results as well as why I think its a great contender. To be somewhat short and sweet...I know we were allowed 5 seeds to start and then choose the best phenotype out of those 5, but as a medium scaled grower/caregiver I personally use 99% of usable space towards that purpose. This comp is a fun reason to put effort towards a small side project. I only popped one seed and to that end if it hadn't germed booom I would have been out. Luckily with that one seed things worked out well and that wasn't the case :bigjoint: (wipes forehead in relief lol) My light source though a very good one imho, wasn't able to provide full coverage the whole way through as my main garden took over haha. But that didn't effect the quality/quantity. 16.5 grams put me at a gram per oz of medium which I'm very pleased with :) Not the monster some put out which I commend! Everyone will judge the way they choose, whether it be about yield, quality, and or both. I find it hard to judge based solely on pictures, but obviously thats how this comp is done. So my last words are this in regards to that, one seed popped and turned out to be a nice female with a nice sized cola. After some jar time, the smell is back to a skunky pungent aroma with plain bubblicious gum undertones. Though it turned out slightly purple in color due to very low temps, i don't believe the strain was meant to be that color. I think the amount of resin/trichome production is the more prominent result I'm pleased with.

As for the smoke report i believe the extreme flush in the last couple days of its life provided a great result imo in such a small cure time. I wanted to get into this voting thread to get the ball rolling lol. First hit (and only hit so far haha) was in a bong and my original thought was smooth, then came the exhale which was a pleasant slightly sweet flavor, not yet the gum flavor i am hoping for. I will admit its hard to say for sure as its only been a few days cured and burped in the mason jar. Strength wise i am rocked lol and probably helped me type out this drawn out very detailed last update bongsmilie I will say thanks for all the sponsors, and very great competition this cup comp  I think we are all winners in our own right, but someone has to be the champ right?

Strain: Homebrew cross of Atomic Love x Hash Plant
Nutes: General Organics basic mix, plus amended soil mixture (EWC, guano, bone meal, coco, perlite)
Environment: A51 XGS-190 inside a 4x4 tent.

This was a great time, being only my 2nd attempt at 12/12 f.s. in a solo. My expectation was to do better than I did last round, using a homebrew cross of two excellent parents. It was also my 2nd grow using my A51 XGS-190, so lots of variables that I didnt know how it would turn out.

But dayum, things turned out better than I had hoped, as my final weight of 20g was double what I yielded last round...so I'm a winner in my book, regardless of where I place in this comp. :)

It was a heavy, dense plant with a main dong, finishing at ~25" tall. The HP lineage definitely contributed to the lankyness of the strain, also it had a very low leaf-to-flower ratio, which is also characteristic of the mother HP. It took a mere few minutes to trim up before hanging to dry.

It definitely leaned toward the HP in growing, height, leaf shape, and flower density, but it leaned towards the NL#5 in the mother Atomic Love in trichome density, smell/tast , with a sweet musky nose and clean taste. It wasnt an overwhelmingly "hashy" smell, but hit like an Indica should. Good strong, almost narcotic-like feel, feeling no pain and ready for bed.

Thats about it for me...it was a pleasure being part of this round. Thanks to all fellow competitors and all the sponsors for their generosity. Vote for me! :bigjoint:

Strain: Original Bubblegum by TH Seeds
Germination Date: 8/7/14
Harvest Date:11/16/2014
Weight: 12.4g
She had nice tight nodes and a good structure all the way through, which is why I picked her of the 5. She did not get as hefty as some of the other cups I didn't pick, but I do not think I did bad given my first attempt at a party cup grow with organic bottle nutes. Her scents of ripe fruit come through on the smoke and have a sweet exhale where you taste it better it seems than the initial draw. Let her live till she turned colors begging to be smoked pretty much. Thought the weight was gonna be more given how tippy she was and the lean she was showing towards the end. She was good smoke but sad to say she is already gone lol, Im a bud fiend what can I say.

Strain : Random old seed I found loosely rolling around in a drawer.
Luminaire : DIY Cree CXA3070 3000K Z4 @ 1400mA.
Medium : Common Dirt.
Nutrients : GH FloraNova Bloom with CaliMagic and Subculture M.
Germination Date : August 17th.
Chop Date : November 23rd.
Dried Weight : 4.7 Grams.
Aroma : Strong Gummi worm / Sour Patch Kids candy like smell.
Flavor : Sugary fruitiness with a unexpected nutty undertone.

For some reason I removed the two lower branches in the early weeks and my cab temps were really low, which I think really hurt my final yield. I finished smoking it all pretty fast and it was pretty good stuff, I liked it that it was pretty much purple to the core which I haven't really seen too often. I really could have let her go another week for sure, mostly cloudy with lots of clear trichs and not many amber. It might have added another half grams of some also, oh well there is always the next comp. I'm just glad I finished, the buds turned a really dark purple when dried.

When it comes casting your votes remember who had the prettiest girl in the group, Here is a reminder of just who that was. No Fatties for me.:P

Strain: Timewreck x Cerberus (homemade)
Lights: A51 XGS-190 & Generic 200W LED
Medium: Happy Frog
Nutrients: General Organic line
Yield: 10.5 grams

Ladies and gentlemen, may I present, for your consideration, Timewreck x Cerberus #2. The only plant, that I'm aware of, to get sick (leaf septoria), and still finish the competition. She can not lay claim to being the biggest girl in here, but she is arguably the strongest, and definitely one of the prettiest. Her yield of 10.5 grams is commendable for plant that was only 10" tall and battled through illness.

Her uncured scent is sweet, and fruity, with a hint of perfume. Her taste is similar to her scent but leaning more towards the perfume side. I'm surprised at how stoned I'm getting from just an uncured sample, now I'm looking forward to revisiting this jar even more, in a month, or two.

STRAIN: Nirvana bubblelicious
LIGHTING: A51 xgs 190
MEDIUM: fox farm ocean forest
NUTES: Dyna gro bloom
YIELD: 19.8 grams

This was my first try at this comp and didn't know what I was going to do. Only my second indoor grow. I wanted a heavy indica and I had a seedsman freebie that was my first choice, followed by bubblelicious and two unknown freebies.

The two unknowns were male so it was down to seedsman and bubbles. Even though seedsman was my first choice I could tell bubbles was going to be a nice structured plant. Well going into flower bubbles had been growing a lot quicker so I checked seedsmans roots and she was rootbound. That's when I worked her roots and transplanted her.

Bubbles kept developing buds top to bottom that got tighter as she developed. I think she became one of the best structured plants in this comp. Just a solid 17 inch cola. As for the smoke a good mid strain, the kind of smoke I like when in social situations. Didn't get the bubblegum pheno but still excellent fruity flavor with a nice high that settles in quickly.

I knew coming in, I was going up against solid competition with a lot more indoor growing experience and solid genetics, home brews and what not but here we are at the end and I really like my entry. I believe she's deserving of votes and I'm hoping you do to. Again this was fun and thanks again to all the participants and sponsors of this comp.20141125_174520.jpg20141125_182810.jpg 20141205_104110.jpg 20141205_104238.jpg 20141205_104937.jpg
