Like others have said, banking on upcoming rec legalization, which i dont see happening for at least a few years if that, is not a good idea. Here in canada since legalization prices have plummeted in legal and non legal markets. Legal producers are sitting on tons, yes tons of cannabis they cant sell. The grey market prices are around 800-1k per pound of trips. Unless you are growing absolute quads that check every single box, good luck. If you think getting 16-2k per unit is bad you havent seen anything yet. I'd kill to see those prices here. And as per your setup, i would make at least 2 flower rooms instead of one big one. Easier to control the environment in smaller rooms. Also feeding, im not sure if you've used coco before but watering once a week in 2 gals??? Ya try multiple feeds a day minimum. Rolling benches, pvc piping on each bench with drip manifolds for each light is how you would do it.

That's a nice setup you have, and thanks for the advice on the business outlook side, as for the grow stuff, if you go to my first post of this thread you can see the sketup drawings of my planned setup 2 flower rooms etc., I see the confusion with the watering, the once a week was only referring to my microbes to keep them out my res. I definitely plan on high frequency fertigation, just torn between hardline/bubblers or poly lines/individual emitters. And would like ideas on zoning off the plants, gonna have 5 4x40 rolling tables in each flower room. 90 plants a row 450 a room

Your definitely going to want hard lines pvc for that size setup, dont know many guys running poly lines for that size setup. Allows you to have individual control for each manifold like ive got. In terms of zones, you can setup valves at each table, so you can shutoff a entire table if you want. I tried putting in electronic valves but they reduced the flow way to much.

Ok so a buddy of mine is buying a licensed grow in OK, wants me to help him set it up and be his grower, Will be building a 50'*100' building

Will be using Jacks321, power si(or similar) in coco 2gal bags DTW
Hand watering once a week with Recharge Microbes and then adding mammoth p and maybe sf100 in flower

2x Quest 876 dehumidifiers
6x Mr Cool 24,000btu split units
25 Rolling Benches 4x8- 450 plants per room-18 plants per 4x8
800ft2 of canopy
48 Scyence Dragon Xl Leds- Average of 1050ppfd/5'x3.5' area
co2 @800-1100ppm dependent on plant response and environmental factors
watering 380ml per shot 3-5 times a day depending on the plants growth
nute strength and ec dependent on plant response(measure run off ph/ec watch for nutrient burn or deficiencies/lockout)
Follow VPD Charts for temp/humidity
low to mid 80s (co2, and using leds)

Veg Room
18x Scyence Leds

Question Is- What is the best solutions for feeding/ irrigation on such a large scale
I know i must separate it into different zones but would like to know what you guys think
would be the most hassle free, efficient way to fertigate each room

Floraflex-open-flo bublers- to flex caps, separate tables into zones using open sprinkler?
Or would it better to use inline emmiters(netafim etc) with 3/4 poly on a loop for each table
Drain to waiste or flood and drain would be best. Nothing is as good as dwc for expedential growth though. Goodluck to you, wish I were in your shoes.

thanks bro, yeah if I did run poly lines it would only be on the tables. I'd use hard lines to get there, I just don't know what's more reliable a manifold or individual emitters. I'm really thinking about making each room 10 zones, 4'x20', 45 plants each zone. a separate res/pump for each zone- from my math 45 plants @ 400ml shots 5x a day would be around 24 gallons a day/ I can use smaller reservoirs, and smaller pumps( only have to move 5 gallons a time)and it will allow me to run multiple strains with different nutrient needs and also help in flushing when certain strains finish faster. Also it would almost allow for a perpetual grow if we just kept switching out zones. What brand electronic valves did you try? and how much water were you trying to run through them?

I've always thought some of these may be cool. Like I'd get 6 of them and some 1/2 tubing and figure something to water 10 at a time. Have 6 different manifolds going crazy no drip just pouring into pots. For now I just hand feed!!!!!
yeah I've seen similar manifolds, I just think it might be hard getting even distribution with a bunch of those, well maybe if you were to put small valves on each to adjust the water flo you could make em work

In a setup the size your talking about trying to do different rez's and run different feeds for each different zone will be a nightmare. Most setups that size run a single feed source, usually dosers. You can still put valves on each table or zone but trying to run different feeds will be non stop work. And you will be going through a shit ton of feed, I use 110 gallons a day in my 24 light room, and thats with half the plants in rockwool which take less feed than coco. In all coco i'd be up to 150 gallons a day. For a setup your size dosatrons is the only way to go as youd be going through hundreds of gallons a day.

^^^ this is the fatal flaw. To be successful you need a budget and the wherewithal to buy the tech you choose in the budget. If you have to convince beancounters you will eventually be doomed.

You'll certainly want to run dosers and open sprinkler is a great platform so is the trol master controller. You really only need two dozers for jacks. You can mix your part a with Epsom and the second doser for your calcium nitrate. I'd check out custom hydro nutrients website they have a similar nutrient line like Jack's hydro You can get it by the pallet I think cheaper than Jack's. I personally ran 1-in hard PVC from my well pump to a dab mini inline booster pump to a master control valve then to my dosers I also ran a normally open normally closed bypass around my dosers so I can time fresh water flushes if I need to. You will want to measure the flow rate of your water supply so that you can calculate the amount of drip emitters that can run efficiently at one time that will become the maximum you will want per zone. I like to run at least two drippers per plant just in case one clogs there is a second to keep the plant alive in case you miss it during your daily visual inspection. I run an inline filter before the system another one before the dosers and then another one where my hard piping meets the poly tubing at the plant site. It doesn't take much debris to clog those spray stakes I used netafim 10.6 gph emitters with 180 degree spray stakes. I like the ones that connect at the top with the tubing the drippers on like drip depot that come up from underneath are not well suited for small indoor pots they have to ride above the soil line by at least five or six inches so it doesn't kink the tubing.
