man, look at it stretch due to insufficient light. I give it another week before it falls over and dies.

HOW MUCH did you pay for these silly LEDs? Did you check prices on small HPS lights before splashing out the bux?
 
I got the lights for free! Just need to post some pics on this forum!:roll:
Also mh+hps makes crazy hot!!!! And maybe the small spyders will eat my baby on the third week!
 
ive seen people complain about leds too. u need a lot of them. but if u use an hps and use led for side lighting i bet it would be frickin awesome.

your plant looks fine but it kinda looks like the growth has slow'n down alot, your going to need more light ( you could add two more cfls and that should do it). :peace:
 
I got the miracle grow plant food and was smell like death! Thats why I put some extra soil on the top....

you should really read through all the information in the grow faq, it will answer questions you dont even have yet. do u have a pH meter? you can get one from a store that sells gardening supplies, just about any of them. if your soil is under 6.5 on the meter, you should mix a handful of wood ashes from a fireplace into some dirt, then lay that dirt on top.. then water and let it leak through. the miracle grow will make your pH too low for plants i believe...all chemical fertilizers can do this. you can also add lime, its a lot more powerful than wood ash and more dangerous, so only use a little--try not to breath any of it in. if the lime is on your hands, water will burn you so its best to use wood ash if you've never done this before--it works great.

i really want to see this work out for you. LED grow is a very respectable experiment--you're doing a lot of research for a lot of people by letting us see it. thank you!

pH meter costs like $12. if you can find Peters Professional, they make a veg and bloom formula, with all the micronutrients but it is powerful stuff. always start off with 1/4 of the recommended dose. its cheaper and better than miracle grow. its like $3 for a LOT.
 
Youtube helps alot also, but good luck I hope those LEDs work because i would like to get some of them.:peace:
 
Day 9 and 8! And started using a 20w cfl! The aircooler is worthless I need to exchange to ionicproturbo!!!

Hey growers , if you’re worried about the swat making your door into tooth pics try these 2 things , first is obvious. Learn that your biggest enemy is between your Nose and your Chin, 2nd is get a program from demonoid.com called ghostsurf platinum 2007 you need to be a member but you get all your programs for free. Once installed just have your settings to invisible. what this does is it shows your IP address in a different country or state mine says I’m in Dallas and I assure you I’m freaking hours flight from there lol so it help when you’re on these sites to be safe. Any extra advice needed email me I will try and help.
To the LED situation dude I’m seriously praying that it can work. you will change the growing industry worldwide if you listen to people that know and grow the most.

I think it can work. I think youll make it even to a point of getting a bud with them. But the question is, is that 8 gram bud going to be worth 3 months of your time, space and money. I think cfls may be better, for a bit more bud. Nothing to brag about. And of course everyone recommends HID like HPS for a reason. A lot of bud.
But i do thank you. Cause this is the kinda stuff I love reading about, im super curious and am going to watch this thread for sure. Just couldnt do it myself.
