5 Feminized DP Twilights, Hempy Buckets

Current plan: veg Twilights for 2 weeks outdoors (my balcony has a very nice southern exposure). On or about July 1 bring them indoors to my Secret Jardin tent and put them in 12/12 under 400w HPS.

I am presently using approximately 4l (1 gal.) containers -- I may transplant them into 2gal (7l) containers for flowering.

So far 5/5 have germinated and 4/5 have sprouted. (I get MUCH better results with Rapid Rooter plugs than with Rockwool). I have presently placed them in hempy buckets using aquarium gravel and, for the 5th bucket, hydroton pellets.

I'll be posting pictures later today: for now let's just say that the Giggle Factory is in operation.

what medium are you using ?
A mix of coarse and fine aquarium gravel: I am ordering some Perlite for the transplant. Since I have a good bit of room to work with (1.2m x 1.2m -- around 16 s.f.) I can use big containers and even let the girls get a bit of size.

The wilderness is my balcony, which has a very nice and unobstructed southern exposure.

Here are the four Twilight seedlings as of 25 June 2008.

And as an added bonus, here's an Afghan Mafia sprout

Instead of using a HPS light, I decided to take full advantage of the southern exposure on our balcony. I just moved the two survivors (otherwise known as the Madeline sisters) inside today.

My experiment with Hempy buckets proved a bit disappointing

However, the buds produced in a Waterfarm were much more impressive
