5 day old plant

First, I pulled my 3 day old plant, it had 2 real leafs on it, and the other 2 smooth, are the real leafs any use do they contain any thc or anything? they are very small anyways. the whole plant is dried to a crisp right now.

Ok I left the other plant to live its now almost 5 days old since it had sprouted. yesterday its stem looked very dark, to me a very very dark purple shade. Im color blind, and was told by my color blind bro that its brown so who knows :joint:. I did see it was a bit dry, as I have barely watered it since I took the plastic wrap off the pot when it sprouted... so I waterd it. A day later [today], I check and the stem is now bright purple maybe blue.

Now im wondering, maybe the water was the problem and its getting better, or maybe it was like was suggested yesterday, its just adjusting. Either way would it seem like its recovering? theres no other signs of death.

the 2 real leafs are growing, now about an inch long each, they were sticking up very close to the cfls today when I check, half an inch away on one of them . But no burns :blsmoke:.

the plant seems to have stopped growing in height, but I guess that is kind of good. Its actually only 3/4" out of the ground after mounding a bit of soil around it. it seems the second set of real leafs are starting to grow too, right in the middle I can see somethings starting to grow.

I was actually thinking the plant might not be warm enough, the fan is cooling the area down almost too much. When I felt the moist soil it felt cool, not cold, but not warm either.

replys are appreciated.

when they first appear the stems are purple or brown. they'll eventually grow into green and then possibly light brown stems. why'd you rip your plants up? yes the two smooth and the two other leaves are normal, they'll grow for a while and eventually die off. do not be alarmed by this when it happens. Most of the first leaves will die when the plant starts its upward journey. and you don't want it getting too tall at this stage, make sure your light is close to plant. Leaf variations are great. you may see leaves with only 3 points or ones with 9! all depends on strains, lighting, etc... keep a fan blowing across the leaves at all times. this promotes healthy strong stem growth and keeps bugs off them, too. stay the hell away from miracle gro potting soil. i used it, stuff sux; bugs and way too acidic

yo man dont get to hyped about that stem being purple. The stem is usually that color when first starting to grow and as it becomes thicker in a couple of weeks it will start to turn green. As for the fan only use it when you feel that the area you are growing in is becoming too warm. THe fan also helps the stem grow thicker so the plant can support itself.

forgot to add, temperature is extremely inportant! no higher than 80 w/ lights on, no colder than 65/ lights off. any warmer promotes fungi and mold, any colder stresses them, causing slowed growth, 'hermies', or gasp...even death!
