I don't know if it was just me but of my 3 attempts with Bloody Skunk I've made it has never produced in sizeable quantity.

Are you going to leave water in those or do they have drain holes? I see issues coming I think.
There's drain hole about 2 inches up. I got them sitting in plastic containers to catch runoff when adding new solution. Right now just plain water 6.0pH.

I've done DWC but not Hempy but supposed to be easy. It's passive hydro and I'll be starting with DynaGro and then switching to Maxibloom Lucas Formula late veg.

Below the drain hole the water stays in. You water it every day to give it fresh solution to replace the old. It's an original hempy setup. The ones with coco are variants of hempy systems

That’s pretty slick. Looks perfect for an SOG style grow. Are those essentially self-wicking buckets running on a flood/drain table ?
To me it looks like he's got them sitting in a homemade drain pan so when he waters it drains out the hole on the side and evaporates. Kinda dirty. Mine I'm just doing 5 with my other organic soil autos I just started. I put my bottles inside plastic containers from Walmart lunch meat packages that I use for leftover storage lol.

I got a bunch of seeds and just want to see how this passive hydro works compared to DWC. I'm ok with up to 36" plants in my closet tent.

I’ve been running Hempys for quite a few years.
my best results came from a CoCo/Perlite mix 75/25 with the reservoir filed with only perlite.
Fed with Jacks 321, this.method is foolproof, IF YOU USE BUFFERED COCO.
I Buffer using 4.2 gms Calcium Nitrate and 1.4 gms Epsom Salts per gallon, PHd to 6. Even the pre buffered brands get buffered again. JM2¢

Germination week
Temps 77F day 70F night
Humidity 66%

Giving them just water pH 6.0

Next week they get the Dyna Gro Grow at 200ppm

I had to replant a new Cheesecake Gelato Auto seed today because rhe other one turned to mush. They came from a White Label Seed Bank.

All others have popped and are starting seedling stage.

Im along for the ride.. but i think I can see a possible algae issue in the future with just thin white tape letting light in the sides of the bottles..

I think you're right. There is algae around the hole where the excess drains. Although I'm down to 3 plants now. The other 2 didn't make it. 1 didn't Germ and the other just wouldn't take off after germination. The 2 red poisons and tge purple punch auto are flowering right now and seem to be ok.
