I’m planning on going from outdoors to indoors now and have a questions about grow lights. I’m planning on putting two 4x4 tents and 6 plants in each one. Will one 1000 watt grow light be enough in each tent?

Do you want LED? 1000w of true power on an led is overkill in a 4x4.

Look at this recent thread

It would be 1000 watt LED, its also dimmable so lowering to 600 watt might be a option?

What light are you considering?
This.
I have a feeling you're going to buy a "1000 watt equivalent" which isn't a true 1000 watts.
Do more research into LED before buying a light as there's a ton of scams out there. Chances are that 1000w light you're looking at is really only 200w.

Link us to the exact light youre looking at so we know for sure.

Good price I guess
That is 100w.

You want at least 30w/sqft and up to 50w/sqft. At 40w/sqft you'll be at 640w, which is a common model for several manufacturers. Check that other thread I posted earlier. You'll see several good price models in the 640w and above range.

That's actually an awful price for 100w of power. You'll need 10 of those to achieve 1000w.
600 ACTUAL watts should be enough for a 4x4 area.
Don't look at the equivalent wattage, look at the actual wattage of the lights.

I suggest doing some more research before diving into LED.

Make sure you check the physical measurements of the new lights as well. Some 600 Watt LED's wont actually fit in a 4x4 tent.
