I was wondering about molasses as well. reading that that goes well in tea.. If i use bud candy would that work the same? what if i did the tea, bud candy, and bacteria ? should i add orca and voodoo juice?
the molasses is simply a food source for your micro organisms in the tea, the worm castings are what introduce the micro organisms to the tea. you can add whatever you want but be carefull as salt based (chemical) fertilizers can kill all your benificial organism's (not sure what voodoo juice is)

^^salts can kill soil depending on what you are using i have talked to the sales reps for the advanced as well as other nute companys to find out this specific thing these are the type of questions you should take you your hydro shop if they dont know make them ask the rep.. long storyshort used properly you will be alright

a few things to note... advanced should be a feed, water, water when you are using their stuff.. this way you wont need to flush every week thats alot of extra work in to something already laborous (sp? lol) voodoo juice idk about using it alone but... if you use b52, voodoo, piranaha, tarantula together it is bettter than great white or what ever you are using for mychorizae they were ment to work toegther. and these all work with the tea but really couldact as a replacement. take a look at advanced nute scheduale you only use it for the first two weeks to establish them and if you use in veg it should speed things upp..

Everything is looking good man. How much did that 2 ton mini split set you back? The unit I'm looking at is 1200 but lines are pre-charged so I can self install. Wish my room was as full as yours right now.

im in a soilless medium and i still still straight water every other feed? that seems too often to me :\ . when i say a flush everyweek maybe i should clear that up, im just feeding one straight water every week. i was planning to substitute the straight water for a tea weekly. I spent like 4 hours reading up on tea last night i think im getting the idea.

im not using the pharana and tarantula, i been going with the voodoo juice, orca, and roots excell. Seems to be an expensive habit but it works well

Matt the voodoo is a beneficial bacteria from what i know? <-- not a whole lot.

PHISH! i got my split for a grand from a buddy. New one for 12 is about what i saw. remember the more seers it is, the more efficient it will be

update:leaf: day 17?ish

i started lolipopping, still got a ways to go, i got about 6 done. Going to start watering everyday starting tomorrow, they are starting to drink alot. The sativas really messed up the canopy height, looks a little sloppy. I over estimated a little bit this one, and its wall to wall packed. I am now pushing a 6x5 footprint, i am going to lolipop extra gnarly so i dont end up with packs of LARF. temps are running 79 lights on, 71 lights off. humidity is pretty stable at 50%, i am running 2 dehumidifiers all the time now.
All in all, I'm really happy with this one. They are starting to stack nice and tight

post some comments, talk some shit, all that good stuff:weed:

get the sunshine 4 advanced and it already has coco in it along with dolomite and some kind of wetting agent. I was actually having a problem with my sunshine 4 being too wet now....shit hold water like a sponge.

i grow in sunshine #4 with worm castings. have for years. also use advanced 2 part. just recently started adding 30% coco to the mix and loving it. i think sunshine has too much perlite and doesn't hold water well. coco adds a little water retention.

5.7pH seems a little low though. i keep mine around 6.3 for the soil and the nutes. plants look great though so who's to say your formula ain't working. nice job.

i do straight water through them every 3rd-4th water. especially with advanced products. they are a little heavy.
i appreciate the info. im going to raise my ph to around 6 and see how that goes.

that stuff seems booboo and over priced to me. has a shitload of perlite too. i may have to give it a try again.. i did fuck a bunch of things up that run

i grew in sunshine plus 20% worm castings for years. it's the best soiless medium out i think. i only added the coco for water retention. just nit picking i guess. just mix it up real good. you can add a little dolmite lime for pH balance but i never really needed it. after i started using alska humisoil teas (cheap as hell to make) my plants exploded. that soil just loves those teas.

Im going to look into cutting some coco in mix4, i could use them holding a little bit more water. I just want to master what i know before i start switching it up all crazy, im still a noob :joint:

the key is don't change too much at once. change 1 or 2 things and see how you like it. or even do a portion of your grow trying a=out new things and see how the turn out before converting your whole grow.
thats a good idea.. i think i might do a few in straight coco next run and see how i like it.

i really wanted to do a side by side with advanced and house and garden. My buddy uses house and garden aqua flakes and swears by it, and he pulls some fatty yields. and you use the same shit for veg and flower.. which kinda trips me out..
but i can get the 5 gallons for damn near the same price as i pay for the 1 gallons of connoisseur..

yeah but does the price difference match the extra edge theyre giving you?

If i do as well as i hope this one ill probably stick with advanced. but if i get anything less than 1.5s its by by connoisseur haha.

My buddy is quite a bit more skilled than me.. but to see him pull two pounds with some ghetto line up and im rockin the top of the line and i havent touched 2s with anything other than NLxbb pisses me off. and he talks so much shit at the bills I got to drop when we go to the hydro store, and he walks out of there with twice the shit for half the price

i guess its hard comparing a pro to a novice.

anyone else kill it with house and garden?

switch to sensi 2 part. connoisseur isn't worth the extra money in my book. it's double the price basically as sensi. same basic ratios though. i forget what the actual difference was though. i think connoisseur has more amino acids and better uptake ratios on nutes but in reality it's probably not worth the price.

house and garden is great as well. both companies make super concentrated nutes. house and garden maybe more so than advanced. the dosages for h&g are far less than advanced even when using advanced at half strength. i'd say test them out when you have the time. they make a soil mix and a coco one too. coco has potassium in it so it helps to use a nute that adjusts for that.

great looking room man.

thankyou, great info.
I tried the sensi-2part my first two runs, everything turned out great. But i was using soil and my yields just sucked cause i had no idea what i was doing. Since then i started using co2, switched to mix4, and bought connoisseur just cause i was a noob trying to spend all the money i can to make up for my sucking.
thanks to rui and a few more months of experience, i "kinda" know what im doing haha. I was happy with my last run, so i just didnt want to change much of anything until i dial in whats on my plate.
depending on how this one turns out, i might be making some changes for the next one.

experimentation is fun! that's the key to growing man. just playing around with different things every grow. see how they affect your crop. that's the fun part in my book.
