hey guys it’s a 450 watt miezer led to bright for 2 day old seedlings. In a 2x2x4 like 3 feet above the seedlings

it should be fine if there is a dimming feature turn it to 30% until veg then go to 70% and from there flower at 100%

Have you looked at the manufactures recommendations for the height? Every manufacture has there own recommendation of how far to hang the light I'd start there and if you're worried about heat burn.

Maybe not at the moment but it will heat up, best to have a fan blowing on top of it if you can if you are having a problem with temp!

I do have fans I’m not having a problem with the heat I just don’t know if I should run it because I don’t want to kill the seedlings from it being to bright.

I have them under two floodlight type 5000 K light bulbs I just want to upgrade it but I don’t know if it will burn them from bing to bright

use 23 watt cfl's for now but if the led light is about 3 feet away the seedlings should be fine. i use my 200watt home made led at that height and have only killed one seedling but that was because it got stuck in the jiffy pellet mesh.
