Hey all.
Like title says this is my first grow.

Sprouted 3 bag seeds from some decent smoke I got.
No clue of the strain. Had no idea they would actually germinate so I was completely unprepared...

Started off in some Miricle Gro moisture control potting soil.
Lights were 3 - 48" 80W basement lights I luckily had.

Moved into 17gal pots that are a 50/50 mixture of the Miricle Gro and Harvest Organics Natural and Organic potting mix.

I did a heavy 90 deg LST in week 2 or 3. Their overall length is 16", but they only stand 11" atm.

Vegged for 8 weeks under the florescents.

I got a 315W CMH light with the Phillips 3100k bulb 1 week ago.

Girls went into 12/12 3 nights ago.
They live in a basement where flower room is 73 deg and 52RH constantly.

Scrog net is 48X48X68

Feed them all in one plant food of
24-8-16 during veg.
Changed to a 17-18-28 when put into 12/12.

Anywho,
Will try to keep this updated. Dont have to many picks from the first month, but let me know what you think.

ok first your plants look good thats a great effort with lots of thought and care put into it, but I am seeing the signs of nitrogen toxicity, that dark green with purple is a real sign of high (n) and low (p) in flower but you need high P and high (k) potassium and low (n)
for a good flower set. if you want my advice put those salt based nutes away and finish up with kelp extracts which are high in K and a good flowering high P guano and a quality amino acid product and you'll get amazing results. for best results I'd foliar spray with (Si)silica the next 3 weeks (I'd use a good potassium silicate ) twice a week and introduce Em1 (beneficial microbes) to the soil

Good job so far. That veg nute was sure high in nitrogen and it shows. Go a bit lighter on the nutes. A good EC meter is a good investment.

If you stick with the tomato food use at 1/4 strength to start. Tomatoes have a much heavier fruit to nurture. The nitrogen is a bit high as well. Watch for any signs of excess nitrogen.
Came up with a 1-7-1 feed I'm going to try.
Or can make it a 1-4-3.
Ideas?

Am going to start with just water for the next week and see what happens...

Also looked into last months water report. City Water here is 7.2-7.5 <we have hard water...>
Furnace is a geo-thermal run off a well. Going to try that water for a bit to combat Ph issues...

Finally wrapped my head around ppms. Will be ordering proper nutes tomorrow.
Can anyone suggest something other than Fox Farm for the same price?
General Hydroponics 3-part nutes. The cheapest set they make will do everything needed. I currently use AN Jungle Juice but passed getting more when the price went from $25@gallon to $60. Megacrop is my next purchase. Simplicity is great.

Totally pass up any additives or bloom boosters. I promise you don’t need them.

What is the TDS of that water? What are the calcium and magnesium levels?

Well,
Took all the advice. Gave the girls a flush of just straight water when I got home.
Aerated the pots with a thin metal spike last night.
Had to lose the triangle Scrog...but for a good reason.
Will have another 315 CMH in 2-4 weeks.
Building new frame. Going to be 48X48.
I know it's small for 2 315W CMH but that's kinda the point. Want to make sure all plants will have optimal light availability.
Should have it done next weekend barring shipping for the net.

So for the next few days the ladies are enjoying their new spot and are really starting to stand/stretch.
Already have 3 clones and from the look of the close up I might have a dozen more off 1 plant I was lazy with on the lollipop...
So thinking perpetual grow maybe???

Dude, you got this going on. Excellent choice for lighting. The most important thing we provide. Your water looks okay but no reportable magnesium shows. Suggest occasionally giving magnesium. Epsom salt. A tablespoon per gallon. Watch for calcium deficiency. Excess calcium is one of the main causes of lockout. Because of misuse. Any excess element can cause it. FYI.

Will order some Cal Mag too.
Thanks again for all the help!

So,
Decided to finish up a lollipop on one of the girls since it's the end of the first week of flower...

Umm,
Let's just say momma was plentiful...
Heres a few pics of her nice and clean shaved and the babies she gave us..

Looks like it's a good thing I'm ordering that other light.

This could get interesting...

Cloning straight to soil?
Didn't really have a choice atm. Had luck with the few on the far left that came off 5 days ago. They went straight to crap soil with no rooter and seem to be okay.

The new ones are in organic and got a rooter so have fingers crossed...

I have used rapid rooters but also straight to soil with some gel. If you're still looking for nutes, look at megacrop. It's easy and simple. They have a free sample pack, pay shipping, and way you go.

Looking good!
