400watt vs. 1000watt

runing 400w mh now, should i switch to 1000? would there be a huge difference?

how big os your room?

too small, im using a cooltube with my 400watt, temps are steady at 17C.
1000wt bulb doesnt fit in cooltube, so will move everything to bigger room

get a 600watt, you can get MH bulbs pusging 72k lumnes and 90k+ lumnes HPS, my MH system is treating me well

already have a 1000 watt system with a mh to hps conversion bulb

If you can use the 1000 watter without a heat issue, go for it. To answer your question: The difference between the 400 you're using now and the 1000 you want to use, is huge!

No shit there. i'm runnin the 400w, puts out aroud 50,000 lumens. Not sure cuz i've never had the pleasure of having one, but I'd imagine the 1,000 watter would put out wel over 100,000 lumens! Nothin quite like some hps love.... or a lot

Lol if u flower with ur 1000 watt hps u can expect twice the quantity when u harvest bro. Thats a harvest of truly matured sick 10 to 15 inch colas that wiegh anywhere from 18g dry to 26 gs dry.

if you can keep the heat down definetly switch to the 1000 watt. ive seen 1000 watt growrooms and compared to my 400watt system you get way more at harvest with the 1000watt. but if you cant keep the heat down its not worth it.

Yummy...I plan on moving up to a 600watt system with a cool tube in my 4x4x6.5 grow tent. Do 3 plants

1000 watts are the absolute Bomb!!! You notice a difference between 400 and 600... i am planning to move to a 100 watt soon!

im thinking about justbuying anouther 400watt to put in the same box as my other 400watt instead of just compleatly geting rid of the 400 to buy a 1000.

Use the 400 to vegetate clones with and the 1000 watter to flower with /perpetual harvest.

im going to try out the 1000 tomorrow to see how hot it will get. i have a big area to grow in so should be fine.

I have a large area and i use a 1000 watt in the summer i cant use it because i dont have ac in the room... so it can get up to 100 or more... with the blower about 90
since its fall and winter it stays around 70-80 its perfect
