some little updates from last night

i got the new hps up and running . plants are getting fuckin enormous..... the liberty haze is almost taller than the LSTed c99..because of that i decided to lst down the liberty . i am shooting for as even of a canopy as possible with this grow.

here are pics. im trying not to train them more than necessary in flower due to adding unnecessary stress to them/risk of hermie. its something that has to get done though because the tent just isnt big enough plain and simple. anyway, enjoy a pic or 2

does anyone think its weird that the c99 and afghan kush ryder 3 havent shown sex yet? the ryder is an auto too.... i am beginning to get stumped. growth on the the others is awesome... picture perfect. i'll be feeding first tiger bloom tomorrow night with watering. ill take and upload more pics at that point. they are stretching like crazy

i just got the call, found out ill be away for the next 2-3 days on business ... figured id water now since i wont be able to tomorrow night anymore as planned. i watered until run off came through on every pot. used tiger bloom 2/3 tsp and big bloom 1 tsp per gallon. well see how theyre doing in a few days =)

girls are doing wonderful. getting big as shit i'll probly water with just h2o tomorrow night. ryder 3 finally showed sex today. c99 is maybe showing a couple hairs as well. i had to raise the light tonight about 4 inches to give more space for canopy growth. after taking these pics i re-leveled the canopy with books under the pots to keep it all nice and level.

we made the decision tonight to can the og kush. she is actually starting to make some good progress (finally) but she simply is getting overgrown and it really doesnt make sense to use that much space on her at this point.

yea i'm familiar with lst but:

1- 3 of the girls are autos so i dont want to even mess with them at all
2- that only increases their width, and honestly, i dont even have space to bush em out anymore then they are....

i'll keep you guys posted ill put up a pic tonight. theyre really getting big.. i hope that its just "the stretch" and that they will stop/slow down after their 2nd week in flower which is today actually (day 14)..

they got even taller tonight. the canopy is now 11 inches from the light. im gonna stalemate the light and see if it prevents further stretching over the next day or two. i'm hoping i win this battle. with two fans over the canopy and 68-70 degree temps at the base of the plants i figure that the temps shouldnt be any hotter than 80 at the canopy level. putting my wrist under the light at canopy level feels somewhat warm, but definitely not hot or uncomfortable...

stay posted for pics in another day or two. i dont mean keep delaying updates but the pics will be worth waiting for :-) the buds are getting denser and stickier by the day

pics from tonight... they. just. keep.getting.bigger...... ive been told this should stop after about three weeks or so of flower so im praying that it stops soon.

im hypothesizing that they all are shooting straight up due to lack of horizontal space.... like maybe since they cant go out, they are all fighting to grow UP to the light?

anyway, here you are.

took another fella's advice on a different thread about this topic and i only fed h2o tonight instead of the scheduled nutrient feeding. i'm gonna try stopping nutes until the stretch stops then start em up again. it doesnt look like they need any help anyway to be honest

i wasnt even planning to do an update tonight but after getting some quality snaps i figured i'd be negligent to not update you all. the number of bud sites that i have flowering across all 5 plants is absolutely blowing my mind. its really shaping up to be a high yielder it seems like. hopefully the buds plump up and put off some quality shit

enjoy, they are all pics of just a couple kush ryders. it was easy to get some pics of the buds since they are right up front towards me when i open the tent. ill keep you posted with the other ladies whenever i next find myself getting some shots... maybe the next few days. it is starting to stink when i open the tent up more and more each day :-P:leaf: . luckily, the smell issue in my room isnt getting worse. the filter definitely works well. the fan controller should be here tomorrow so ill let you know how that goes as well. im almost hesitant to hook it up because if i lower the power its gonna lower the circulation and right now my temps are running like 81 out my exhuast ducting and 81 at canopy level too...

i watered with 1/2 strength tiger bloom tonight. no big bloom. i didnt choose to exclude big bloom for any particular reason, however, i figured id use 1/2 strength tiger bloom since thats all i was using. if i were to use big bloom in addition id probably use weaker concentrations of each. as you know, i skipped feeding last watering so well see how they react. honestly, the sugar leaves look even sugarier than last night and the buds are bigger. sounds stupid, probably, like duh- theyre plants, theyre gonna grow- but witnessing the process for the REAL first time w/ HID is a real treat. the tent smells like absolute gank already and its only the beginning. such a skunky but sweet kushy smell. :leaf::leaf::leaf:

pics in a day or 2.

couple pics from just now..... wow.

edit- duct speed controller works well however when lights are on i have to run at 100% still. im not complaining because during lights off i can crank it down to 40% to maintain negative pressure and good circulation in the tent but it doesnt constantly sound like a jet is taking off and it uses less electric... worth the investment

thanks a lot fellas!! theyre coming along really well ..... ill get more and better pics again in a day or two now that some people are actually following the thread...

checked soil ph last night. they are all 6.8 except one that is like 6.3ish. I'm not too worried about it though. i've never phed my water once although i have the kit to test and raise or lower it...

the one that is 6.3 has yellow leaf tips and has had that since it started flowering. the buds are nice and leaves are all green but the very tips are yellow... weird. any ideas??
