400W HPS on Soil - First Grow

Hey guys and gals.

Just thought I'd share my first grow with you. I'm happy for every and any advice

Setup:
- Homebox L
- 400W HPS
- Exhaust-Fan approx. 150 cfm (250 m^3/h); Carbon filter
- 6 approx. 3 gallon pots (11 Liters)
- Plagron grow mix with Perlite
- Fan blowing between light & plants

Strains (2 each):
- White Widow (Dutch Passion)
- Chronic (Serious Seeds)
- Super Silver Haze (GHS)

Got all of them as clones at approx. 7" (15-20 cm).

For now I haven't gone into nutes yet.

Up until now:
- Soil pH seems pretty stable at about 6.5
- Humidity at around 40-55% most of the time (some peakes at 60%)
- Temperature is a bit of a problem at the moment... Outside temperature is at about 85F
(30°). Trying to keep temperatures below that (average for daytime temps. 80F (27°)
nighttime temps. 73F) but now and then it peaks at 90F for a few minutes...
- Light distance is at about 22" (55-60cm) due to the heat issues.
- I LST'd them a bit in veg (and occasionally still am) for a bit of height controll und better
canopy penetration.

Start was on the 26th of July. Vegged them for 10 days before switching.

By the 2nd day (12th day total) of flowering their height averaged at about 11" (30 cm):


Today 13th day of flowering (23 days total) they average at a height of 23"-24" (60 cm):

Hey RIU. So just for a short update.
Temps have been crazy over the last weeks with outside temperature being close to 100F for a week. But its all cool now

Size is now ranging from 28-35 inches (SSH's showed quite a stretch).

I've been frantically looking for my cam but can't seem to retrieve it. So until I do, I only have some cell pics (The colors and thelighting are so... dead) of the Chronics. Officially its day 26 of flowering but I kinda counted early so maybe just starting 4th week of flowering.
The 2 Chronics with a 0.5l bottle for size comparison (I think thats about 17 fl. oz.):

Hey everyone. So I'm not really doing well, keeping up this journal. Sorry bout that.
But my beauties seem to do just fine.
Heres a pic of a Chronics top at about 33 days of flowering:


I'll give them 1-3 (depending of how quickly they finish) feedings of Plagron Algae Bloom starting in a few days, so that they have enough nutes to cough up some thick buds

Ladies vertical growth came to a complete halt by now. Their height is just around 3 feet (90 cm). The SSH are a bit taller, the White Widow a bit squatter, but they're sure budding up as fuck. Looking forward to the colas. I got some yellowing on one of the WW. Don't have any pics yet, but I'm really not that worried about it.

If you have any tips on getting the most out of them in the last 3-4 weeks I'd welcome them

It's 1 m^2 so like 4' x 4' or 10 sqft or something along that line...

Looking to turn this one into a veg tent though and want to get a larger one for flowering.
Just a money iussue

Doing fine so far... really need a feeding though... And the soil ist still wet so I fear I'm gonna hold off another 2-3 days.
Sorry for the HPS tint... but the pots are so heavy when freshly watered (and me being high of course).

Well fuck me... found 2 seeds in one of the Chronics... but after a quick scan that seems to be it.
Didn't find any signs of pollen sacks though...
They where bout half developed.
Might have been 1 or 2 male sites due to light stress, as I had 2-3 major light leaks in the beginning of flowering (shouldn't happen anymore though).
Hope no more seeded bud shows up.

On the bright side, one of the SSH is just going beserk... Every branch seems to be covered (maybe 7-8 of them) in like 70-80% bud... I'll get some pics up tomorrow or so...

Oh yeah and they got they're feeding of Alga Bloom (Plagron). The SSH will recieve another, the WW and the Chronic will be flushed beginning as of this weekend. Hope to give them a good 2 week flush, maybe 3 (depending on how fast they'll get done).
