hey guys.. i got 2 plants in one side of a sliding door closet. and they are currently vegging with CFLs. I am planning on getting a 400w HPS for flowering them. i just have a problem with heat and venting.

currently, i just leave the side with the plants closed, while the other sliding door is open about 5-6 inches. some days its okay and doesn't go over 82, but sometimes I need to open the actual door that the plants are behind, and it will still be 84-85. i hate opening that door because i have some panda film on the inside to reflect the light and if the door is open, i am losing light. this isn't much of an issue right now, but i want to know if it's even possible for me to make the move to a 400w hps system for flowering.

i dont really know how to vent my closet. basically, it's 2 sliding doors and dimensions are.. 8ft tall x 8ft long x 2 ft deep. i am only using half of the closet for the grow. the other half is being used for clothes and storage. the top part of the closet is also all full. so my real grow area is, 5 1/2ft tall x 4 ft long x 2 ft deep.

i was thinking of getting this:

and then hooking up some kind of fan on the side, a little under the lamp directed to the right side of my closet. the grow is on the left side. so i am thinking of leaving the right closet door open, having a fan blowing all the lamp heat to the right, and hopefully that would be enough...

im thinking that the hps reflector is going to be atleat 8 inches, and my resevoir is about 10 inches high. so that automatically takes 1 and 1/2 ft from my grow area in height - leaving 4 ft. then i think the HPS would need to be atleast 1 ft away from the top of my plants correct? should i flower my plants at 15inches? they are 12 inches right now and both heavy indica im pretty sure (bubba kush + og firekush) i have not topped or fimmed, but i would appreciate any information, tips, anything at all regarding any of my setup or anything. thanks a lot guys

and one last concern is using the ballast with a ungrounded adapter. i didn't have an outlet near the grow room, i had to wire all the way from the living room to the grow room with crappy 1$ extention cords and they dont have the 3-way plug. its just a normal 2 way plug. so i was wondering if i could use one of these adapters and still be safe:
