what's up man! .... yeah i think you should definitely give them a dose of veg nutes before you flip the switch. I have the same problem when i start flowering. My leaves start yellowing and dying off way too early. Until recently. I just kept up with a healthy dose of veg nutes. I've heard that it's best to give them a dose of N in the beginning of flowering due to the demand of N during stretch. I have no hard data for you with that. But I plan on doing the same with mine before i flip it.
I'll have pics in my journal tonight. I just broke my HID cherry and set up the 600 today!!
Now thats what im talking about 600 should be nice, but you got to stopp leaving me i go to 4oo you go to 600 whats up man? lol yeah also thanks for the advice on the nitro,i have one more problem i hope you can help me with i have a net problem this go round and its a lil worst then before last time it was just a few this time its more i dont know what the effect is on plants with nats i hope you can tell me...Or anyone else that can help..Please!!!!!!!

I'm curious about it too brotha. I'm having gnat issues too. They aren't screwing much up but there are more than i've had before. It's gotta be the time of year.
But the best remedy is a top layer of sand, about an inch, and yellow sticky traps. Also make sure you clean up any dirt or debris you have laying around on the floor ... it's the dead/dying vegetation they love.
Having said that .. i have yet to do either ....... but i plan on getting th yellow sticky traps this weekend. But yeah man.. i'm having the same problem. fucking bugs ..
if you google it ... you'll find a ton of remedies. But most everyone swears by sand and sticky traps.

Sounds like a plan sucks so soon but hay your part is getting fixed so you will do until then.

Hey, also no expert on nutes but ive been adding veg nutes with my bloom nutes because they were turning lighter green as if there was a N deficiency and its been working well.
If you need to be done by mid december i would switch to 12/12 now. Max 8 weeks flowering is a pretty tight schedule.

Yeah i know bro i may just leave them off tonight for 24 and then go 12/12 i was just trying to sqeeze as much height and growth out of them as i can before flipping..and i think ill go at least 3 to four weeks into flowering with the grow nutes or my cutting edge solution micro nutes which are 6-2-0 we'll see how they progress...Thyanks and peace bro

just a thought ....figured i'd give you my opinion...
My last few plants had minimal leaf yellowing and dropping. I didn't switch much up... just read the plants if they started acting up too early...
But i think one thing that helped me along with keeping the green in the leaves was repotting right before flowering. I think the N in the fresh soil helped keep the green in there while i was feeding the bloom nutes...... Just my opinion though. I don't know if this is possible or not. But i wouldn't feed veg nutes the whole 3-4 weeks. You'll delay the flowering i think.
I say switch it up. Give em Bloom.... then if they start to yellow go with the higher N.
at least that's what i did.... but you'll get it man. I've seen the buds you've grown. Im still craving that BLZ you grew out.

Hey you are right on again friend, what im going to do is keep my eyes glued to the leafs so i can catch it faster this time im also going to put to use my micro nutes 6-2-0 cutting edge and see if it keeps them greener..i also heard that feeding them grow nutes deeper into flowering can pro;ong flowering dont want that, hey ive yet to get any more of the BLZ myself and everyone is always asking me when i'll get somemore of that they dont know i grew it!!! lol but i think i'll get some after this grow all fem this time..peace

I just spent 11 hours reading through Uncle Ben's tweek thread. I feel like I have relearned how to grow. I would suggest keeping those leaves extremely healthy. Go with more N if you have to. Leaves falling off is not normal, don't believe it.

Whats up Brat, so you think keeping up the N, in moderation is a good thing? well ithought so to but is there a tfuth to the fact that giving to much N will also extend your flowering period during flowering? I've seen plants that were very nice when almost finished but the leaves were still green as hell, then ive seen others that were near done and the leaves were brown and falling off which i thought was a natural occurance? which is best or right i dont know but i need to correct premature leaf loss for mine, so that 3/4 of the way through flowering my plant do'esnt suffer from not having any leaves to feed off of..

Yeah man.. Uncle Ben has some great info .. and he's right on everything he says.... but some people actually prefer to have their N driained from the plant.. while i've heard that most of the energy from the N being depleted is the focus on the blossoms taking up the nutes from the fan leaves ... so i've read..
But even Uncle Ben admits that he leans towards the high side of N. He's even stated that some of his buds have a slight ammonia taste due to the ammonium nitrate.
IMO ... i think alot of people who let their leaves get yellow ...Not lose em but fade out.. can get a smoother tastier smoke from it. The P and K is what feeds your blooms... but don't get me wrong. I still feed N in flower.... just as needed.

The P and K DOES NOT feed the blooms though. It feeds the plant, which makes the blooms. And N keeps the leaves alive, which makes bud. The way I see it, it is possible to do it either way, obviously. I think I'm just going to prefer to keep the fan leaves on my plants. Plus, means there's more cuttings for hash.

You're correct sir! on all that you're saying. i actually just typed two paragraphs to explain my original statement but fucked up hitting the back key.....
my only point is ...if i'm on an 8 week bloom cycle and the leaves start to yellow at week 6. I wouldn't add N at that point.
