thanks alot, are you also going to run a 400w setup in your tent? feel free to ask more detailed questions about the grow if you have any, man.

I'm debating between a 400 and a 600 at the moment....not sure how easily the heat will be managed with a 600 without upgrading my inline fan. I just really want to cram as many lumens into this tent as is godly possible without overheating. I'm trying to take all the precautions for proper heat management like using a glass sealed air cooled hood and minimal length and bends in my ducting, but I've got a bit more research to do before I take the plunge and decide on the 40 or 600. I'm just really looking forward to tight dense nugs and I know the 400 is very capable of doing that, but I know a 600 would make easy work of that task :)

Are you using a glass sealed hood? How many CFM's is your inline rated for?

How are your ambient temps in the room that houses the tent? How are the temps inside the tent at peak heat during your lights on cycle?

Thanks for lettin me pick your brain a bit!

Yeah, that's a tough decision. I have an open hood. My fan is 4" 190cfm. To be honest, I don't even have a thermometer in my tent. I was going to go buy a good one, but then i realized that my plants looked really happy and they weren't showing signs of heat stress. If I had to guess, and this is just a guess, I'd say that my temps run between 78-88, maybe it gets to 90 or above on hot days.

Hey for feeding them just water I think there doing great. Really Cool to see the ocean forest is putting in work as you can see a huge difference between your plants and your friends thats potted in "backyard dirt". I definitely recommend getting them on a good nute program asap though. If these plants were on nutes from day 1 they'd prolly be beefy ass bushy green monsters. But hey as long as there thriving your in business. All we can do is take it day by day and push our little grow ops to there maximum potential. Little by little ...

I know, it is crazy to see the difference. We transplanted the hashplant into a grow bag a week or two ago so now it has about half ffof and half of the other stuff. ever since the transplant, the plants growth has been alot better. As far as nutes, I have All Roots Organics stuff (Buddha Grow, Buddha Bloom, HP2, HPK, Ancient Amber, and Trinity). I just flipped them to 12/12 (today is first day of flower) after 31 days of veg. I will be following the roots organics feeding schedule (http://www.aurorainnovations.org/feedingschedules.html) starting at about 1/4 strength of course. The reason i did not give them anything up until this point was because i was using the ffof soil. I have seen so many people burn their plants by trying to use too many nutrients with ocean forest during the first month. I think next grow i will be trying roots organics original potting soil, which will allow me to start a nutrient regiment all the way through the veg phase.

I will Have Picture updates up later today, They will probably get their first feeding of nutrients tomorrow morning. I was expecting to water today but the pots still feel a bit heavy with moisture.

nice man! thats exciting. do you know what light your gonna get?
Yep. I'm definitely going with a 600w lamp / ballast.... I'm deciding between a lumatek or the htg supply brand digital ballast. They both carry the same 3 yr replacement + 2 yr pro rated replacement warranty but I'm kind of leaning towards the lumatek with a glass sealed euro reflector. I can't order until the 25th so I've got a little time to mull it over.

Whatup everyone,
so when the lights flip off in about an hour, it will have been a full week of flower. Everything seems good so far. I have some pictures from October 4th without the lights on so you can really see the green color of the plants. The rest of the pics are with the light on, I just took them a few minutes ago. Let me know what you guys think!
