400 watt hps yeild

okay this is the thing im starting up my first hid grow before it was cfl 400 actual watts 2 plants and i was pulling just about 6 ozs at harvest i was searching google and people said they were yielding anywhere from 6 to 8 ozs from a 400 watt hps is that about average thought i would get more than that with a 400 hid considering i was pulling 6 ozs from cfl

like i said before you should get more if you were pulling 6 from cfl

what i wanna know is if i was getting 6 ozs with 400 watts of cfl how much more can i expect with a 400 watt hps would feel like a waste to run the hps and fans if it was only an oz or 2 more

also what have some of you guys yielded with a 400 hps

you pulled .46 grams per watt with your cfls which is good. if you can grow .65 grams per watt with your hps that will be about 9.2 ounces.

and you could double your yield, by useing them CLF to Veg with before the HPS so you have nice 8 weeks old plants ready for flowering when you harvest ..

also another thing to consider, is the quality of the Buds, HID light do provide more light/penetration, so depending on your grow style you should get more quality buds, weight is`t every thing ..

im vegging a lil with them now the light is a HPS/MH dimmable
