i dont know if you know but if it wasn't for nazies rocket travel still could be in its infancy stage..i say this because in ww2 hitler had scientists working on a secret project to bomb londen an other parts of england with rockets...these early rockets were called the "v2" an after we won we found these things studied them then applied most of their ideas to start our own rockets program....so thank you nazies for yet again another life changing invention...

Space travel is the future of mankind..If we want to survive. I also know that other countries like Japan and China are sending shit into space. Also I didn't say "upper atmosphere", I said "just past the outer atmosphere". I'm also fully aware of what the government was and supposedly was not doing in the 50's. I think before you try to tackle such a complicated subject, you should take some typing/grammer lessons.
