40-60%?

i've read over and over again that the recomended humidity is between 40-60%.....but ive also read the lower the humidity and higher the temp. (reg. 68-7the better... the question i have is, is it GOOD to have the humidity lower than 40% or the temp. above 78F (above only if the humidity is lower) im so lost.

its no problem to keep my humidity low and temp high i have every thing i need to do that around the house. in fact at the moment its taking 2 humidifiers just to keep it above 40% my room has a heater so if it gets lower than 70 i can just turn it on but its summer time so i need not do that.
