They grow out of it after a couple nodes .... some do it some don't. Honestly I've had them do it in just jiffy starter.

Corrrrrrrrr now then . . . ..

Defoliation is a shock to the system, I will not doubt that .. . . . BUT, if it is introduced early, slowly BUT regularly, there are great bonuses to be had . . . . .

I usually start with the very bottom single leaf mini fans, once I have two other inter nodes above it, AND there is sufficient growth from the single fan inter node to defol. This will giv eme a good indication of how the plant will react to a defol . . .. .some have had that particular inter node defoled OVERTAKE the main growing head!! Other hgave withered and died!!!! Strain dependent my friend . . . . ..

for all . . . .. DO NOT START DEFOLING A FLOWERING PLANT THAT HAS NEVER HAD A LEAF STRIPPED FROM IT, YOU'LL NANNER IT!!!!

i do it mid veg .....
these hazes ive been messing with the last few years can get out of control quick first two pics are the original mother positronics purple haze #1 ( i burned all the fans off of it on accident and realized how tight it made the nodes and how much secondary branching started so i played with it until i got it figured out ) i crossed it with a kc45 male then again but with a kc45 S1 then only bred the haze dom's but crossed a male with one of the F2 females .... they are very slow growing in veg and long flower but they want to stretch like crazy if you let them its the only strain ive ever defoliated so im still kinda a noob to it this was the mother ~~> 2013-10-31 23.21.59.jpg2013-11-13 19.15.55.jpg and a couple gen's later mainlined its like on week 12 IMG1754.jpg

Every 1/4 inch out of the soil I'll dress, that area can be and wants to be roots, why deprive it for so long dude ?????
i top dress compost or what ever i feel the plant needs usually around preflower it gets filled ..... normally im coco/ peat / perlite but i run alot of organics i use the medium for 2 grows then it goes in the compost pile with the garden scraps and whatever gets cleaned out of the rabbit and chicken coops , chinchilla cages yadda yadda

Here's a few pics day 11 from sprout. First pic is my blueberry who's stem is so short you can't see it. Here's an example of some of the shedding that's happening on all plants. Stalks seem to be bending hard and don't seem well rooted in most yet again I'm not familiar with plants at this stage. Lastly a pic of the largest lime still cupping and what have you. Oh and one I hit with lots of microbes and distilled water just to see if I could flush anything out. Seems dying XD. C.c. got declined hoping to have a ppm meter and ph meter by Friday! Fingers crossed they make it till then! Light has been lowered to about 2 1/2 feet rather than 3 1/2 should I give them some night maybe? I've been running 24/0!14349215415491180990181.jpg1434921781823688930632.jpg 1434921958090-1222392522.jpg 1434922101648-1742918809.jpg

Hey duder,

If you're going to use distilled water, imho, you must put something in it or there is a danger the distilled will drag nutrients out of the plant.
Distilled water should at least be ammended to 0.4EC Ca + Mg and Fe

buddy u are going much more complex then u need too

do u have a hose .......or a deep sink with a screw on faucet
http://www.amazon.com/Garden-Hose-Filter-Chloramines-Pesticides/dp/B007I6MN72/
that will make your water great ......clears out any and all city water chemicals .....water comes out a nice light blue color (taste good)
i got this filter for my Hydro exps worked great for me on that .....when i need to flush i use this fill up the bucket or i stand there with that on the hose and let the water flow tho that in my hand

RO water and Distilled water are only something really ment for HYDRO/Coco (water is so clean u add the goodies to it for the plant to use )
