4 Plants, two 48" agrosun flourescents on top, two 24" agrosun's on the sides......

Will this do the trick for vegging them?
I am seeing a slight improvement but not an inch a day as I'd like.
Heat stay's around 79-84 degrees (night & day)
Have mylar all around room with heater and fan going 24 hours a day.
I'm on a serious budget, just a poor farmer who likes to blaze.
Any advice is welcome.

Also when would one advise moving up to a 400 watt light system?
I've never grown inside before, thats why I have so many ?'s

It'll definatly work for veg.- i vegd 2 clones w/ 2 4ft 2bulb t12's& it worx great. I dont grow w/hps,but id add it in when you flower.how big your grow area?

9' X 3'1/2" with a 45 degree slant in the roof.

Gota keep them flouros real close to your plants. & with all that vertical room, flouros wont evn touch lower bud sites. I hrvest tops,lower lights& keep floering bottom of plant.worx well for me.

Got um 2" away from the top. For the ones I have on the side of the wall I also keep them 2-3" away and turn them every day or two.
One plant is my lil experiment plant, I pruned the top to see how it would work (hoping it would do more outward growing) it's all growing but growing extremely slow.
maybe I'm expecting too much. I'd still like to see at least an inch of growth a day but maybe i'm dreaming.
Could be the brand of lights? But still I've seen people say they have grown successfully in the veg stage with regular old cool with florescents.

i do it. Flouros in veg. & add 6cfls when flower.i get good results. I topped a seedling to see wut wuold happen,now its like 3" tall&itsa lil ball of leaves.totally stunted.another1 started@same time 6/7" -just totally more advanced.same strain too.

So you don't or do use hps when flowering or you do? Hell man everyone I've seen inside does have hps'z galore on their bitches for flowering.
No one wants to talk on the phone about growing, even if they have their card, that's why I got on here to discuss growing indoors.
My pic is a harvest from an outdoor grow. I've been playing in the woods since I was a kid.
So indoors is new to me.
Seems like there is soooo much more to do and add if you grow inside.

how old are your plants& is your room ready to vent a 400w hps?

They shall be ready within the week.
Gotta find me a deal around here. Don't want nothing made in china and it has to have a warranty.

I dont use hps. Flouros to veg& then add cfls to flower. Ive found indoor 100% eazier.i found this forum when my outdoors were struggling.not a person replied.i lurked&learned,now ive met great,knowledgable folks willing to help.i love riu!
