4 plants in 1 bucket concept. Will it work?

I think you should use nylon stockings to contain the roots. Secure the stocking to the bottom so the bag doesn't twist. Place the airstone at the bottom of the stocking bag. Update me if you try it, I think it's a revolutionary concept.
If you think anything other than a SOLID container, will stop roots from growing through, you're wrong.

when the mesh is fixed, when it's nylon floating they wouldn't have traction enough to be able to rip. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am and I haven't seen proof I'm wrong.
Bro, any size hole, no matter how small the size, is big enough for roots to get through.

And as far as traction goes, that's irrelevant. Once the root mass is big enough to start outwardly pressing against the mesh, the smaller root hairs WILL find their way through.

Good luck. One pot means all plants are exposed to the same environment and one bad issue affects all plants in that res. 5gal buckets can support 3, small 3.5 inch hydroponic netpots. Water changes are easier and less risk on fewer plants.

if that's more feasible for you. Just cut 3 holes around in the bucket lid...

One plant per 5gal. You'll regret doing multiples. Roots get tangled, shit gets CROWDED and light gets fought for. Don't do it.

I Wasn't talking about myself but someone was talking about myself. Someone was asking about multiple plants in 1 res and stockings over the roots.

My room is 5 buckets and 5 plants. I'm not keen on bigger hydro res "tried it in 35gal and I saw the light with Bubbleponics and autoflowering, (speed and space).

My attemp at a circulating 35 gallon res was an expensive mistake.

Stockings will not stop roots. They'll get right through.

My point so if one is to want several small plants in one res, if these girls are gonna live in one dorm room, they gonna "co-mingle" no doubt. That's why I mentioned premade hydro net pots; No chastity belts" loose and free. I can almost Invision 3 autoflower's as one bush!
