I have done 1 outdoor grow and am trying to start an indoor grow now. I was wondering if 4 13W CFL's would be good for a mini grow. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. BTW im trying to do this as cheap and energy efficient as possible :) I forgot to mention that they are 2700K and i just read that those are better for flowering. Should I mix the 2700K with some 6500K or just use straight 6500K. Also it seems that 1-2 inches is too much heat and its drying out my little new borns.

id say u want at least 4 bulbs 1 at each corner of a square on all plants basically 4 bulbs per plant or more.
4 for each is on the weak side for 2700k bulbs:!:

I redesigned my grow box and it now 19"x19"x 34" high so i think that should be pretty good for a mini grow. i also redesigned my lighting apparatus and got some wooden dowels and made a box shape and theres 10 lights on it now. All 13W CFL's but the 4 in the corners are 6500K and 6 are 2700K. Is it bad if I rigged 5 CFL's to 1 cord or is the amp draw too minimal? Heres some pics of Day 5 of my babies.

hey you shouldn't be using those 2700k bulbs until you go 12/12 into flowering sorry i was kinda vague explaining it. Use all 6500k bulbs for vegging time. They have a more blue spectrum which is what the plants need for this stage of growth then, when my plant was at 18 inches and i put her into 12/12 I started using the 2700k (more yellow spectrum) u can use a couple of the 6500ks for flower to just mostly the 2700k hope this helps:bigjoint:

hey just noticing something. your using tin foil for the reflective wall thing but do you have the shiny sidr or the dull side facing the plants. if you have the shiny side showing then you should flip it around unless you want some light burns on your babies
