4 branches same node.

Thanks. I'm just wondering if I clone it, will it do that again? My biggest issue now is should I keep it at 4 colas or top again for 8. I still don't even know if it's female. Is there any way to find out while it's still this young?
Depending on your space, go for 8 (one more top) - 16 (topping twice) could be a bit tight, depending on how long in between nodes. It may be worth growing it out 2-3 nodes before topping again to allow a bit more room to develop the colas (depends on how tight they are now and when you intend to flower) -> how long are you planing to veg for?

Cloning is gonna be interesting - on my 3 header, I've let the lower node grow out to allow for clones (and turns out a third lateral did shoot, so it is 3 laterals at each node after all) - but not sure of how they next nodes will develop on these laterals. So for you, if there are four tips on the shoot (signifying a continuing of the 4 branches pattern) then your clone will also continue this. If however the later shoots do not, and are regular two tips per node, it wont. Keep an eye on it and see what it's doing. This could also effect your choice for continued topping for mainlining. If you get 4 shoots on the end of each of your current four shoots, a single further topping could go to 16 colas (NUTS!)

Don't know why the pics posted in that order? The first and last are the poly. The middle is another I mained. They both just got their final cuts. The middle will have 4 colas. The poly will have 8. You can see the new growth tips coming up. Another couple weeks and I think I'll flip them. Any suggestions?

Thanks. It's growing good and responds to training very well. I'm hoping its female. I haven't seen any signs of sex yet but I don't really know what to look for. It's only been 4 nights on 12. I'm hoping it shows soon so I know if I have to yank it or not. If it shows any signs of sexing I will post pics so I can get experienced help. Thanks again.

Awesome Mutant!!!

I have had a few plants that have done similar things. The last of them is on day 56 and grew 3 branches per node.

I also called them Polyploid's and was corrected. I believe they are Whorlyploid's.....

I'm subbing up so I can see how yours turns out. My last Triploid gave me 6.5 zip's at 29 inches tall .............

Thanks. I've been trying to find others that have similar plants. It still isn't sexed yet so I hope it's a female. Do you know what strain yours was?

I have one that was normal 2 leaves per node. I topped at the third node, a week later went to take new clones and after I cut 4 I noticed one clone was fuller And more leafy looking. It is triploid, the rest are not! I took me clones a few days ago and it looks like one of them is trying to go triploid on me too... it's afghan Hindu kush from world of seeds x double white cheese from haze man seeds. The main plant seems to stay regular though with the 2 leaves. Here are pics

1. First triploid clone
2. Second clone. I drew arrows to show where I think it's turning triploid.
3. The mom. Pretty sure it's a female, the first clone died but I think it threw a hair or two

The mom has at least one branch now that is triploid and 2 clones that turned triploid. I'm not sure why I haven't done anything special. Can't wait to flower them. Some clones are stuck at 2 leaves and some at 3.

Yeah been reading your thread was going to start one for mine but yours is good enough. A few questions what is your soil mix? Light source? Am thinking of giving mailining a try IMG_0916.jpgwhen she's ready.

Scribed.

Mainlining would be pretty nice... might get messy really quick though. I've been thinking about it cause I'm going to top sooner or later anyway. I am using perlite vermiculite and miracle grow soil the blue one with water absorbing crystals or whatnot about 40/30/30. Veg lights are cfl then I'm going to put either outdoor or under a led to flower. I'm gonna go with at least 2 months veg

I mainlined both of my Tri-ploid's with great results. 16 tops on one and I think 14 or 16 on the other but I forget exactly. I got 6.5 Zips dry from the 16 topper at 76 days veg, 67 days flower and 29 inches tall! Today is day 70 and 26 inches for the 14-16 topper so we shall soon find out how she produced.
