Sterilized my old 3x3 flower tent, switched the exhaust fan to an intake and put some homemade 99.97% hepa filters on it.

11/4 Innoculated

9 brf b+
9brf golden mammoth
2 rye bags golden enoki
2 rye bags black king oyster

All are in thre incubation tub with a reptile heat pad.

Floor is at 78, top of jars is around 73

11/6

Both enoki and oyster spawn bags are showing small signs of myc growth. Nothing yet in the jars :(

Added a little light inside to give them some indirect light

Will post pics when i see some growth in the jars. Hopefully tomorrow :(

So the incubation tub is ontop of a reptile heating pad, which is wrapped in a towel. The bottom of the plastic tub (that the jars are touching) is 82f. But the thermometer ontop of the jars is reading 70.

Should i increase the heating pad? I tried probing the glass with my probe thermometer, since i dont have an infared. It was ready also around 72

The tent is also right by my window so the temperature outside it is probably high 60's

Thoughts??

The light is a waste of electricity only needed for fruiting. Really not even then. I have black out curtains in my room that never get opened and a regular lamp that i normally use for my room next to the fruiting chamber. The cakes all pinned from all different sides including the top and bottom. One shroom grow straight out and down pushing the perlite out of its way.

Day 3 no signs in the jars.

Rye bags got about half a fuzzy grain in each!

Day 4

Golden enoki bags showing multiple spots of small growth.

I had accidently shot a little over .5cc into one of the holes on one of the jars. I had looked at that specific one and it had showed some signs of growth. To early to see what it is.(4 holes, .25cc each was the math)

Hoping using more innoculation points will speed things up in the later end. And that the other 17 jars follow..

Going to try not to check on em for the next 3 days:weed::wall:

I did the same 4 inoculation points it helps i think because the myc attacks from all sides meeting in the center dont birth before the myc has consolidated because i split a cake in half birthing before

Nice. Yea in hoping the 4 points is whats slowing down the initial growth.. how much time did you allow for it to consolidate 3-5 days after full colonization?

Closer to a 10 days with more than one big pin to break the suction. I waited about 3 days and it broke so i waited another week

Day 5

12/18 jars are showing signs of healthy growth.
The other 6 were in the corners of the i cubation tub and felt a little cold. Tried to recenter the heating pad and hope they catch up in the next day or two.

Day 7

15/18 jars show normal growth
2 jars still showing nothing
1jar was completely fucked, it was fully white, and i could see a little green. I took it out of the incubation room and put it in a sealed plastic bag for now..

first pic is of the healtht growth, all 15 jars are around that size.

The last two are of the contaminated jar.

Thanks, except for the contaminated jar^^ i think the two that are showing no signs are in a cold spot or something because they were the only 2 jars that felt "cool" the rest were "warm" to the touch. Little confused about how its happenong since its on a heat mat... i dony wanna shuffle them around in fear of stalling em. So im just guna ride it out as is. If they dont show any progression in a few days i will isolate them in a shoebox ontop of my fridge!

Just rotate the jars on the heating pad

Rotating the jars ensures that if there is a cool spot it dosen't lower the temperature of the cake
Flipped the tub around today. Moving forward il flip it every other day

All jars are showing growth, all the golden mammoth are way ahead of the b+, and they were separated in the bin, so hopefully rotating them will help them catch up / even out. Even so im not opposed to birthing in stages.

17/17 lookin good!

This is a primary reason folks like grain, bird seed, rye, rye grass or popcorn.

It can be shaken.

Is this jar contaminated? Or is it doing ok? Thoughts?? I feel like the initial spot where it started colonizing has turnes an off white color kind of tan like the verm..

Should i leave it in the incubator with the rest or isolate it?

Advice much appreciated

Seriously, you cant shake that?
