No, not your POWER STRIP where you have outlets to plug your electricals in to. Take the DRIVER out. The thing the PLUG CORD is connected to. It will be a metal box of some sort with wires on the other side going to your LEDs. Take a pic of your light so I can see if removing your drivers from your tent is even do-able with your knowledge
Yes, sorry i am still in vipraspectra era.

Y a if hats the case, getting the drivers out is gonna be way beyond your ability right now maybe in a year or two if you keep learning :)
Have to start somewhere. And appreciate all of your input. This is clearly something i need to educate myself rather then "plug and play". Tjank all of yoh for getting me down the right road, but i think i need to do my part and research. I will refer back to this thread when im a little more rounded on the topic
Thanks!!

Hey I am also looking to upgrade my 3x3 tent. With regard to upgrading an existing light setup. Would it make sense to supplement existing lights with additional lighting or is it usually a better idea to replace a light with a more powerful one?

If you have the money then ditch the Blurple lights and buy new. Look for something that uses the LM301B/H LEDs by Samsung.

Harley I searched for weeks and decided on the Black Dog LED. You would need a 400W in a 3x3 area.

They've done their research and back up their lights with copious grow along videos where they top 1 gram per watt easily.

Here's a link to my thread where I'm highlighting the Black Dog and 4 strains I got from clone. Drop in and see if the thread answers any of your questions.

I just switched from a Vipar for my new 3.25 x 3.25 JungleRoom tent. Hoping it will do the trick. Im not in the US though.

It seems that whatever you buy someone will say thats no good, you should build your own, truth is I got great results from scrogging with my Vipars.

Most LED heads say the QBs and HLG are the way to go so I thought I'd get what was available in my country.

Let us know which one you end up getting though.

Anyone know if you can switch out the components and upgrade these types of boards I am new to QBs?

OP: if youre still looking and your main problem is too much heat: 300w of led is allways going to heat somewhat but you can minimize this by using a system which dont have excessive differtnce in temperature visavi the environment.
This mean using more chips at less power, with sufficient heatsinking. Id rec something like the quantum boards or they chinese clones (if your budget is stretched) and run them at around 60w rather than 120w each, 4 instead of 2. This also means that the increased spread and efficiency means less watts in the tent, 240 driver or a 320 driver dimmed down. And of course keep the driver outside. Remember white leds like 81-84° aswell.
