Hey guys thinking bout my new grow. 3x3 tent.
1x 4” passive intake.
1x 6” passive intake.
6” exhaust fan with carbon filter.
1x 80cm oscillating tower fan.
1x 6” round oscillating fan.
Custom QB frame 3x 288qb (adding 1 more hopefully before starting)
1x far red initiation puck.
Strain: Green crack THC Bomb.
I have 3gal, 5gal, 10gal, 19gal fabric pots.
Debating on growing 1 big plant. Or 2/4 littler plants and scrogging them.

What would everyone choice be 1 plant or scrog? Also what size pots would the use? Thanks

I have been growing in a 3x3 for a while.

I have done 9 plant sog
5 plants. That turned into kinda a sog.

2 plants with some LST.

Right now I am in a 2 plant scrog.
Really like it

I like less plants now. And pull the same yeilds

I’m aiming towards less plants aswell that’s why I thought just 1 big one. Scrog or lst it until it’s a good size plant then flower. But I don’t like leaving all my hopes on 1 plant if something goes wrong I’m buggered.

I’m currently doing 3 plants LST in 3gal pots there are in bout 8/9 of flowering

Don't worry - all the RIU dudes here will make sure that nothing will go wrong.

I prefer fewer as well. I can give them just a little more TLC. In a 3 x 3, one monster lady would work. But if you want to increase your odds, you can go with 2 good sized plants. Use a 5 gallon pot minimum - 7 if you got 'em.

Make a 3 x 3 netting then SCROG until the net is almost completely filled from corner to corner then flip at that point. If you go with one plant, SCROG the whole thing. Going with 2 plants, each plant takes 1.5' x 3'.

Lollipop each girl under the netting then just let her flourish. Within 1 week, you won't be able to see the floor below.

My next grow is going to be one plant. It’s 7 days from seed. Depending how long the scrog takes to finish. Could have a 10+ week veg before it even gets under the screen.

Depends...
I just finished my annual grow and each of my girls could have taken over a 3x3.
I would either go for 4 smaller plants or 2 larger. Rig up a trellis net and maximize the canopy...lots o' buds

I don’t have 7gal pots but can get some.

I have a net and frame already made up from when I was going to scrog this time but didn’t.

Im in the same boat Regards space & scrogging. I have and nearly 90% sativa girl in there, hoping for a monster.

Anyhow, I posted a thread called „scrog virgin“; there is loads of top advice there (I think it’s in the Indoor forum; if not then in the advanced growing section).

I've had single plants fill a 3x3 edge to edge in rDWC many times. The beauty of running a single monster is simplicity. No worries about differing heights or growth rates, no competition for light or space. The danger is, as has been stated already, is that there is no backup if there is a catastrophic failure. For newer grows i always recommend running at least 2 plants for that reason. Then at least you increase your chances that 1 of them survives until harvest. For experienced growers, running 1 big plant in your space can be a really satisfying experience if you haven't tried it before. A 3x3x5 plant wedged into a 3x3x7 tent is a beautiful thing to behold. Lol.

So far very well; got one Sativa in the shed+5 Autos to start up; the Autos will go into the gr8 outdoors, once the threat of frost has past. The Sativa I’d gonna stay in the shed; will try scrogging for the first time.
Fired up the shed a week ago, so the girls are well small.
Im only going for one plant; want to avoid to many plants in a tiny space to avoid mould...

I would say 5 gal should be ok; that’s what I’m using outdoors, sure there are others with loads more experience when it comes to indoor growing.

U started your beans yet?

Let us know how u get on!

Yup - filling up a SCROG net does increase your veg time but can increase your yields.

I vegged these two girls for 9 weeks so that each could fill their 2' x 2' netting. A smidge over 6 weeks since the flip and I've got some pretty nice looking "donkey dicks". This pic taken at the start of Week 5 (9 days ago) and they've beefed a little bit since then.

How do you like growing autos? I sprouted 5 seeds. 20 mins in the Australian shade (not even sun) and they were dead.
Im thinking less is better as well. The 3 I have now is ok but I’d still like to use probably 1 this time.

Righto I have 5 gal now they are what I’m growing in inside my tent now.

I did start them. They sprouted and I left them a few days. Then before going to work on night work I turned on this little clip on full spectrum led tube light I have and got home in the morning and they were dead. So back to square 1.

Here’s my scrog net I made a while ago.
Looks good.

I used wood as well. I find wood pieces were easier to work with.

BTW - Is that a dog nose I see outside your patio door peeking in? Hope she/he isn't jealous of your hobby. My little guy got jealous a few months ago and he ate two of my rooted clones! Well ... the vet did say that dogs do like a variety in their diet.

I just had the wood laying around so thought I’d use it. And used a old builders string line I found in my toolbox lol.

Yeah that’s my rotty checking on me lol. That dog gets jealous of everything. I had my plants outdoors last year and had to put wire around them cause the dogs wanted to chew on them and dig the soil!

He’s looking into a tent-went camping last year; left him outside, but he got scared when he heard some noise in the bushes...

Talk about variety in diet-after harvest i had a small bag of clippings which I accidentally left on the living room table-or shall I say forgot due to short term memory loss-came down the next morning and found this (see photo; no way was he up for a walk; just staggered in the garden, did his ablutions and fell asleep under a tree...mashed...
