3x3 CFL Closet Grow

Details first. :)

Strains - (Fem) OG Skunk1 x2
(Fem) Seedsmen RoadRunner AFL

Mediums -

OF Light Warrior for vege (4 weeks, 1 flush) - any advice on this would be great.
At 1 month we make the switch to 5 gal buckets with OF Ocean Forest for the Skunks and a smaller planter for the RR, as I've read that it's more bushy than lengthy.

Lighting -

Skunk1's = 2x 6500k - 100w CFL's
RoadRunnerAF = 2x 6500k/100w CFL and 1 2700k 100w.

I gladly answer any questions.:leaf:

Day 2 -

All of the babies have sprouted. I gave them a light watering this morning. Moving them to 24x7 light schedule. Will begin nute schedule soon.

Okay. Having a 'tard moment. Can't find edit button. Mods feel free to delete those three above blank posts if you like. :wall:

Day 9

Going well so far. Babies still. Can already tell the difference between the RoadRunner and the Skunks. RR is much more short and wide.

ph levels were high the past few days, I've slowly been adding ph down. As of tonight we're sitting at 6.8 for the skunks and the RR is sitting at a nice 6.3.

First nutes were given on Day 4, but on day 6 I checked w/ my analyzer and it was still showing too little. That night I gave them a heavy feeding, and as of tonight, the Skunks are still a little low on nutes but the RR is at an ideal level.

As you'll notice from the pics; one of the skunks got burned. Nute burn to be more specific. I wasn't being careful enough while feeding. Note: That yellowing happened overnight.

I'm hoping I'll be able to recover it. Any tips for dealing with nute burn would be greatful.

Temps been staying steady at 93F during the day, with doors shut, and 82F at night with the doors cracked open. I'm having a problem with keeping the humidity up. Right now it's at 40% and that's horrible. I've been trying every trick I can to raise the humidity.

Somehow the soil is staying moist and there is no sign of anything wrong, sans Skunk#1 :fire:

i about to start a rraf as well but your are looking nice in my room it's 85f the lowest i get it is about 82f and people have told me it's well be ok but can slow down the growth of the plant but at nite it get down to like 78f and hum is 40% sometimes 35%

I've read they can sometimes hermie if the humidity is too low. Even Feminized seeds. I'm not sure, I didn't have this issue over the summer when it was hotter (yet the air was much dryer in my house overall.) Tonight I'm trying something to get it up (giggity). I've boiled some water and put it in the (newly) arranged space. Away from the plants, but hopefully enough to get the overall Humidity up in the closet. I know misting is a great way to get Humid. up, however I've also read that misting Cannabis is bad. Trust no one, right?

I'm betting it will be pointless because in about 2 hours the doors will get cracked open anyways.

Too hot during the day, too dry overall. *sigh* what is a ghetto grower to do ;)

I forgot to mention this is my second grow. First one was 6 bagseeds. 5 males. The one female was a runt from the get go and I said screw it. She's still curing, but yielded almost nothing Decided to order Fem seeds and start over. So I still have a lot to experience and learn (and un-ghetto)

Update on the Burnt Skunk (yes, that's her name now).. not getting better, but not getting worse. It's growing lopsided, the foliage that didn't get burn is still growing at the same rate-color as her sister skunk. I think I should just cut that entire shoot off, but.. not sure if that would stunt growth completely. Stem and 60% of the foliage look great.

*cheers*

Day 22

Howdy. Haven't posted in a while.. my bad. Got great news though.

RRAF - Already showing preflower (see pics)
Skunk1 - She's a jungle. No preflower yet.
Burnt Skunk - Deceased. I guess she couldn't recover from the nute burn. Came home one day and she was flopped over, stem snapped at the base. :(

Managed to score a humidifier, so we have that problem mostly solved. Closet is steady at:

87F daytime / 78F nightime - Humid steady at 60%

Switched around the ghetto closet a bit to make room for the new, bigger pots.

Running all 2600k "soft" light bulbs now. (Trying to force Skunk to flower).

Switched to 18/6 around Day 16 and will keep that schedule for the next week, then switching to 12/12.

pH levels are steady now at 6.5, haven't had any issues there.

Other than that, check out the pixxxx :joint:
