Apollo 13 (73 days harvested, 9 days dried, 3 weeks cured, grown all organically - Inquire Within for methodology)

The bud below weighed 1.2 grams before breaking it up and discarding the stem and a couple of shake leafs buried in the dense clusters of calyxes. I carefully broke it down by hand, because I was searching for seeds. These buds are STICKY. The smell is pungent and has a rotten fruit mixed in with a stinky skunk smell, as advertised. It breaks up nicely, the 9 day dry and 2 week cure resulted in near perfect nuggets. This plant was flowered early, but still yielded 3 solid ounces and some extra grams. This is one of the side branch nuggets, not even a big one, not that small either, the average side bud was slightly less than a gram, but the tops of those branches were over 2 grams. Into the paper it goes. I used Zig Zag Ultra Thins so the paper didn't interfere with the delicious flavor I already know Apollo 13 is famous for. While lighting it, you can already smell the Lemons. The rotten fruit skunk smell becomes an undertone that turns slightly more earthy. The room fills up with the smell of dankness, for no other word can describe it. And this is before I even lit the joint. I am just preburning the tip to get a nice even start. The first drag, I pull hard to try to capture that skunky taste, but I don't find it going in.
Instead, it tastes like I just put a Lemonheads candy in my mouth. Behind it is another smell that has a hint of Ammonia behind it, making the overall taste going in feel like a lemon cough drop or lemon based cleaning product. Blowing it out is when you get the rotten fruit skunk taste. It comes out thick, and you can taste it leaving a stain of lemon behind. Effects
are immediate, as an elevation feeling takes over. I raise the joint back up but pause because the cough was coming. That is how the cough works with Apollo 13. It creeps. the first one comes faster than the ones after the following hits. BOOM. The first one is easy and it actually feels good to cough, and you can clear your throat pretty effectively with these coughs.
The second hit is where the rubber really hits the road. The flavors are more intense than the first hit. I resist taking a huge hit, fearing the creeping cough coming. The cough is easy to work around, you don't get it from the smoke as it goes in or out. Just some time after. This time, my ears started ringing and my heart started banging in my chest. As I blew this hit out, I could feel my whole outlook shift (this was the first J of the day) from whatever drab mood I was in to something else. I can't really explain it, its like a feeling inside your belly that rises up and tingles out of your fingertips (making it easy to hammer out a story like this one no prob). I began coughing, and it kinda took over for a minute, and I let it. It was a hearty, deep in the chest cough. I pulled one more hit, this time going for bust. I pulled on that joint till I couldn't squeeze another drop of breath even into my mouth or a nostril. The cough followed the smoke out of my chest and left me coughing violently for the better part of 2 minutes. Pretty sure my face turned red and my eyes are still bloodshot. That is where I usually stop with Apollo 13. Usually because some form of ADHD that only crystal meth addicts know about kicks in. Dishes
get done. 2000 word essays fall out like turds. Songs get written. Gardening becomes an adventure instead of tedious labor. That is the best way to describe it for me. Two hours go by before I even looked at a clock. I crept back to the back porch to blaze the roach back up. For the touch up, I might take 2 hits, I might take 5. With Apollo 13, these retouch hits actually
give you a stimulant buzz once again - unlike most other strains, which, hitting a half joint is usually the last thing you do before you wake up the next morning. With Apollo 13, there is no need for coffee, unless you can't shit lol... but seriously, I reduced my coffee intake from 3 cups when I wake up to 1 and an average of 1 gallon of tea per day down to less than 1/2 of a gallon. But does it work for pain? It is awesome for pain. Pain relief for me is a must - I have a cervical spine injury. But the whole reason I wanted to get off of pills was because of the shitty way they made me feel most of the time. With Apollo 13, the pain melts away on the first hit and there is NO shitty tired doped out feeling. As intense as the stimulant effect of this strain is, I am happy to report that the rumors and sales pitch is also true: NO PARANOIA. I don't know if that matters to most sativa lovers out there, but for those with Psych problems, it is something you might want to check into. Paranoia is a very real side effect of a lot of strains, and being Paranoid is not fun for everyone. With Apollo 13, there is zero paranoia.

The Church (This bud was harvested on day 62, dried for 1 week, cured for 6 weeks)

Cracking the bud up releases this fruity skunky spicy smell. The fruity part is really hard to put my finger on, but it is familiar and very tantalizing. It might be one of the sweetest smells in the cannabis kingdom. The bud is tacky, it will stick to the wall if thrown at it. Breaking it up by hand, looking for a seed... my fingers get covered with a layer of resin that is easily rolled off into a nice little resin snake that goes into the pile. The spicy smell permeates through my olfactory like Halls Mentholyptus. Combined with the fruity smell, the overall aroma reminds me of a perfume type aroma. Again, the best I have on hand is Zig Zag Ultra Thins. The joint is average, probably between a half of a gram and .8. Lighting it up releases that perfume smell, mixed with classic Skunk Weed. Greenhouse really knows how to capture the Spice in the Skunk.
The fruity overbite makes it easy to pull a full chest of the thick smoke. The smell becomes the taste and the complexity of the taste becomes very spicy and when I blow it out it tastes as if I am blowing out a hit of some good bubble hash. The cough will come either sometime between when you want to blow the hit out and when you would have if the explosion of coughs didn't come first OR when you take the next one, kind of interrupting it. Each hit tastes like the first one. the flavors don't wear out as the resin builds inside the roach. The hash plant taste does get more intense, and the spice gets spicier. The buzz is one that starts with a soaring headrush and that can get very intense if coughing persists. I often struggle through Church joints trying to cough a lot, eyes watering and nose running. Lol... sounds like a ritual, and it is, but when the smoke clears, the Indica side of the lineage really bangs you into the nearest couch. While you might be straight on the physical activity, The Church turns something on inside like a light bulb. Everything becomes interesting. If you are the creative type, as I am,
this strain is gold. You can put hours into a painting, for example, and not even feel the stiffness and pain afterwords. This stiffness is why I stopped painting as much... but with Church, those hours melt away while working on a project. None of that uncomfortable position shifting and getting up a lot. If that sounds good to you, then you know what I am talking about. Best line ever lol. I laugh when I say this because it is what I did when I smoked this bud below... You're bored. Nothing sounds good. You turn on the tv and the only good movie is either something you seen too many times already or aren't really into so you never seen it. That is a good time to fire up some Church. Now that tired rerun is fun and the show you didn't give a chance before now has you on the edge of your couch. Notice I said couch. Church, again, is not the strain you want to smoke at the construction site trying to get shit done. It won't happen. Any distraction will kill your priorities so be warned. That is as detailed of a smoke report as I can do, except to say, it is an aphrodisiac. You just have to trust me on that one ;) Here is a picture of the bud I just smoke to make this report:
DSCI1964.jpg

White Lightning
(Harvested day 63, dried 1 week, cured 6 weeks)

This jar was sitting here for 6 weeks, waiting for my patient to come and pick it up. Needless to say - I needed to smoke a little
for the Smoke Report from Crop 2. The bud in the pic below is not that bud. There was a few tiny crumbs and a half gram chunk
in the same jar. When I cracked the jar open, the smell of Lemons blasted out of it. It might have been the most intense lemon
smell I ever got from a nug jar. It had a sweet background to, like a lemon pie. It also has a medicinal smell, something straight
out of the chemical lab. I broke it up by hand, very carefully. The lemon smell just kept getting more and more intense. It is sticky,
but after dealing with the Apollo 13 and the Church, not that bad. Okay, into the Ultra Thin it goes. the light up brings out a dank
spicy aroma and the smoke is THICK. This stuff is intense, THC content above 20%, the first hit gives you a lift. When you blow out
that spice, you get sweet lemon pie, a little hash and a lot of spice. The second hit is the marker. You really don't get a whole lot
higher with additional hits, but if you overdo it, the uplifting part of the buzz gets stomped out by couchlock. Creativity is still
on the table, even with couch lock because this strain really makes you feel good and happy. All activities are fun again, much like
the way Church changes your mood. With White Lightning, you can actually get stuff done if you don't smoke yourself into the
corner. The effects, although satisfactory on the onset, become more intense as time goes on. I have noticed sometimes (I have
been growing this strain since 2010) 3 hours drift by before I reached for another toke or joint. Very high quality stuff, pics below.

Crop 5 in small pots... Crop 6 will get transplanted next week. Crop 5 will be slightly behind schedule for 4 week cycles,
they need to veg out enough for me to get a few clones off of each of them. Crop 6 was planted at the same time, they
were rooting the cups slower, so I will stagger them. The production plant of that crop will be Cheese x PCK, so I am really
crossing my fingers on this one!

hey bro awesome looking shit!!!!!!! keep on keeping on brotha you doing a super good job lol

Thanks. It always looks good when you decide to go pro. Crop 3 is getting to the end of its life cycle, so there are a couple things I should tell you that I did so you can keep it pro. During week 2 of flower, I added the Pappa's Perfect Poop to the buckets.

View attachment 2543203

During week 5 I added Rock Resinator to the buckets.

rock-resinator_1.jpg

Sometime during week 6, I added ClearEx and Hi-Brix

Clearex_qt.jpg 1001087_HYFHOF08303_A_400.jpg

This is week 7 now. I will water these plants one time and when the buckets dry out, I will begin to harvest them.

For a while, the pic size thing wasn't working for me so I have to rewind myself and see where I left off. Above is some of that LA Confidential I was just talking about before my hiatus. I will fix this thread momentarily. As of today, there is still two more crops lingering from my 3rd card. I just got my 4th card, so now the card is good for 2 years. I will finish those two crops in this thread. One is in week 3 flower and the other is about to get cloned and put in flower mode soon after. The new thread will be available soon (Crop 1 has already been planted).

The most crucial update for the day is going to have to wait. The camera files... there are tons of them to sort through. But in those are shots of the Trainwreck, Lemon Skunk and the 2 Cheesy Chitral Kush sisters getting cut down. Expect them soon followed by updated pics of crop 5 and the final crop for this thread, crop 6.

Finally, the Cheese x PCK No. 1. This is the one that I didn't clone for production, but I am growing out 3 more of them to see if they have the same problem: this plant produced a LOT of male flowers. It was hard to keep up with, but I decided to let this baby make it to the end. What a beautiful thing! I hope the hermi problem was just something I did... enjoy...
DSCI2362.jpg DSCI2363.JPG DSCI2364.jpg DSCI2366.jpg DSCI2367.jpg DSCI2369.jpg DSCI2370.jpg
DSCI2371.jpg
The plant was the sister of the two that had a slight bit more of a sativa look to it. It still produced and grew medium height like an indica. The Leaf to Bud ratio was super high, making it a pain in the ass to trim. The reason for this, I quickly found, was that there was an equal amount of Cheese leaves and PCK leaves mixed throughout the tight buds.

The hash from this stuff is delicious!!! I predict a nice hash harvest from the 7 total Cheesy Ck plants...
