3rd AG Attempt

This is my third attempt with the AG and so far so good.

Its almost been 2 weeks and there seems to be some yellowing and some burnt edges on the leaves.

My Ph test kit says its Neutral, but I do not know if I have the right kit. This is what i have:

I've put a 1/4 of the small tabs in from AG each week. So twice so far.

Let me know what you guys think and any advice is welcomed.

well actualy i still dont have one today i will be gettin paid n getting one lol but u want it between be high 5 low 6 ive been told by various well respected growers of this site
 
In aero try to stay at 5.8 to 6.0. Stay vigilant with the p.h and the nutrient ppms. The plants can't consume all the nutrients they need at neutral in aeroponics. Keep them happy and they will reward you.

hey i just got a ag today but i wanna know where did you get those pods? to put the seed in that is i got mine on craigslist and it didnt have the pods so if anyone knows i would appreciate it. I wanna go buy it now and start tonight :)

aerogarden.com

Check your local nursery gardens as well. Mine carries the gardens and their accessories
 
i found some but was confused if i could take out the ag seeds and just add my own guy told me i could so i got grow cubes i put them with the seeds in the ag like the guy recommended at my local hydro store the water seems to be dripping but im still not sure if this method will work
 
i mean honestly all it is is a sponge that comes in the ag slots lol just get a sponge cut to fit the holster make a notch for the seed and a little hole all the way to the bottom for the seed to tap into n it would probly be better for the ag rather than jiffy cubes or shit like that
 
Those are neoprene collars. Germinate your seeds. When they have roots put them into the slots in the neoprene. There is no need for rockwool in aeroponics. It holds too much water. There is no medium used. Just the timed spray of nutrients and the air to let the roots breath.
 
Ok we're about 4 weeks in and there has been disaster in Palmtree's Paradise.

My extra light fell and landed on my back left plant and burnt half of it away :cry:. However, I let it go to see if it could come back and its trying as you can see.

Furthermore, the front is not growing to fast and my back right is growing very quickly, but has some yellowing to it and burnt edges (not due to the fallen light)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks RIU!

Stop using aerogarden nute tablets. Go to amazon.com and buy Foxfarm nutes, the hydro kind of course. And yes, you're gonna need a better PH test kit. Good PH testers will cost you but for now you can buy an easy aquarium test kit at any pet store.

Thanks for the advice! I'll get some tonight. In the mean I put extra nutes in and they exploded in growth. They have almost tripled in size since my last post.

Also, just kind of a random question... Right now I just have they AG lights and my extra light attached to it. Should I have the air pump and AG pump/filter attached to the timer?
 
Do not hook the air pump to the timer. You need to keep the nutes recirculating. And those plants should be MUCH bigger at 1 month. They only look 1 week old. Just my opinion, not tryn to be rude. Look starved!
