Man, thats a buzz kill.

And I imagine there isn't any way to really know you got the wrong stuff till WAY into your grow, if you can ever tell at all.

Now I'm way less stoked to buy seeds

I know a guy that offered me Jack Herer clones. It might be more worth the 6 hour drive than I originally thought it would be. I have never tried Jack Herer, but I did see a pic in HT.

Road trip ;)

One problem with "fake" jack , as well as other strains, is simple. Strain A gets well deserved reviews. Unscrupulous "breeders" aquire seeds from original breeder. They make seeds from these seeds and sell as "strain A". Grower buys "fake" and gets mediocore pot a best. Real jack comes from sensi seeds and is phenomenal. The orgasm comparison is fitting. My pheno tastes amazing. It is not a yielder though. Genetics are nl#5 x sk#1 x haze. This is not a typical hybrid. A masiive breeding program went into this strain and whatever you pay for real jh will not be missed. At 25 days some lower trim was better than most fully mature nugs I've had. I'm at 39 days of 12/12 with mine. I've smoked very poorly grown bud from the mothers of my cuttings and they were amongst the best I've had this year. These were chemmed out, premie, wet and mishandeled. I couldn't stop thinking about them for weeks after I finished the sack and stumbled upon a tray of clones one day. I swore I'd never grow again, and this got me going again. I had jack done perfect but in hydro one othertime and taste was bland but high unforgettable.
