380 diodes per bar + epistar or 320 diodes + osram?

if you want to go a step further ask kingbrite to make you the strips with 60 osram 660's and 15 osram 730's and pay the extra money, it wont really be any "redder" because you still have the same power budget but will be more efficient and the reds get an easier life with the lower current.

Thanks for the replies, I might ask about switching to osrams.

But might it be an idea to ask them to switch to a lower colour main diode? If so what would you recommend?

what kelvin are they using for the whites?, do kingbrite not have any spectrum graphs for these lights?.

Sorry, they've told me as standard it's a mix of 3000k and 5000k at an 11 : 4 ratio but that it's customisable
with that mix of whites the spectrum is coming out at 3533 kelvin and with the added 660 and 730 its dropping down to 3340K, so its already "warmer" than a lot of lights. id leave the whites as is.

Cool, thanks too

Been listening to the a podcast with Shane from micro on it talking about how only about 10% blue Is needed to regulate growth, which anything over 2700k is, so rest might as well be red which is more photosynthetically actually.

Any thoughts on that?
