First legal grow, and first since the early 2000`s. I know in the past my biggest issue was inadiquate lighting, so with current technology I decided to go for an LED setup. I did a lot of reading and decided COBs were the way to go on the long term cost efficiency and that sourcing my own materials was the way to go on short term cost efficiency.

The COBs were chosen because of the great upfront price and nice curve balanced red and blue spectrums on the 97 CRI 4000k chip.
I'm planning to have them run at 63watts, but might have to find a solution to some over heating (85°F) in the tent.

Soil and air purifying we're honestly an afterthought, but I had a gift card to home Depot that covered inexpensive ventilation, aluminum for the light fixture, and soil/nutes.
The soil I just aimed for light, airy, and some water holding. Nutes are supposed to be low for autos I hear, so I just found something organic and non cannabis specific. We'll see.

Seedlings are currently going, but I'll do updates on that later in a separate post.
Feel free to comment or advise, don't be a dick.
