do i need a ballast?
and they kinda looked like this will post picture when get home


if i do 4 bubba kush in 2 gallon pots as my mothers they gunna do good??

if i just plug into wall it lights up looks good and is hot!

the pic didnt load. where did you buy them? im sorry but i got bad news, those are not hps, because their is no such thing as a 300w hps.

Do they have the large mogul base? You know, ones that wont fit into a standard socket?

I bought from coop could they be mh?

They have large one that you have to get special one for not normal light ficture one

What's the numbers on the bulbs? Should be printed on the glass.

It looks like a Metal Halide to me, the filament piece is short and fat, looks like a glass bubble with the ends pinched. Here is a picture of a HPS bulb,

The filament is longer and looks to be a tube with the ends plugged. I am not an expert and could be wrong, just trying to help you out.

Also the HPS tend to be longer in general and MH tend to be the fatter ones. But this is not always the case, especially with older bulbs.
