Any recommendations for seeds this old? I have a very hardy plant from the same bag: it's a maniac but this one seems a bit more delicate.

Ive got about 1500 seeds from a collection a buddy gave me for my birthday that date from about 15-20 years worth of saving only viable seeds from every bag hes ever bought. Some people on here say you could run into a gem with those random bag seeds or just some swaG. Im gonna take a shot and see what I get. As far as your seed goes it should be fine just plant it regularly in moist soil.

I found a couple old nl seeds i stashed back in high school.
I germed em all but only three popped. However what was awesome bud 20 years ago was hardly worth growing compared to whats available now genetics wise.

Id still say worth a shot but it really is 50/50 they pop and 50/50 they are worth growin out.

Good luck

I honestly wouldn't F with bag seed. You are rolling the dice and it's just not worth the effort IMHO. Start with a quality feminized seed from a reputable seed bank and never look back.
Cannabis has come a long way and the genetics avalible these days is just crazy to pass over for old bag seed if you are going to put in effort to grow.

I was given 2 seeds over 20 years ago, One was a bag seed and the other came from a shop in Amsterdam. Both were Origanal Skunk seeds but ended up in the same bag so didn't know which was which?
They Both turned out to be Female and they Both turned out to be the Best Tasting Skunk i've ever smoked and were identical in looks and smell.
I wish i had kept one as a mother but it was my first grow and they were needed to further my growing experiance and education at the time.
I started a bit of a grow log if you want to see their photos but couldn't keep up with it due to health problems at the time.

I would say that if you have the time and the space then give those seeds a chance as you could end up with some amazing genectics that could be Better than the professional breeders have...
What have you got to lose? :weed:

Good luck ;)

Not long ago a friend gave me some seeds that he'd kept from the 80's. Just for shits and giggles I germed10 seeds to see if I could get 1 girl worth growing out. Six popped and I got 4 girls... and they turned out fantastic. Those seeds were 30 years old and the weed I got from them was as good as anything I have ever grown.

People go on and on about genetics... well... any seed that lasts 30 years is fuckin top notch genetics. Just because it's not brand name doesn't mean it's not top notch....

I agree and I'm really enjoying the grow. I'm not out for $ , just my own personal fun and experimenting. They are coming along quite well. I have two beans that have turned into plants and I'm geeking out on them.

I'm experimenting with using local soils and keeping my nutrients the same as a control. So far, the natural soil from Pioneer Peak is feeding the one lady a bit too much nitrogen but otherwise very healthy. I spent some time making my own dwc setup and over engineered things a bit :) and the one gal is in that tank (she's the shorter one) I know for sure the tall gal is female but the short and beautiful hydro is yet to be determined. .... stay tuned......
