30 days into flower mendo purps bud pistils are drying off?

i am 30 days into flower and have two strains going. mendo purps and sour diesel... for the past several days some of the buds pistils went from white and all over to almost none and redish. only on the mendos the SD are looking great and it is only on certian branches...sorry no pics. SD are drinking alot faster. any info would be greatly apperciated. i have tried searching and cant really come up with anything. have had some thrips and whiteflies on the purps as well none on SD.

1. 12x10x8 grow shed
2. 3 mendos 3 SD
3. 8 inch intake
4. 12 inch outtake - carbon filter
5. one oscolating fan
6. 2 circulation fans
7. 1000 watt hps air cooled
8. temps 63 to 70 lights off and 70 to 85 lights on
9. ph is 7
10. nuts are floral micro and floral bloom feed 1/2 micro and full bloom every 3rd watering.
11. 5 gallon buckets
12. plants stand 35" from bottom of stem and the hps is 18 inches from top of colas

Hum, How about this,
The purps had bugs right? maybe that forced the girls maturity. doesn't sound like you are burning them with the lights at 18" away. My guess is they will start growing new ones once they get healthy.

No problem man, you took the time to list everything I needed to know to give you my opinion.
Trichs usually dont cloud till late in flower but the fact you have them now tells me its a healthy strain.

I had something similar happen in my cabinet with mites. maybe not all go amber but most then in about a week I saw new ones.
