Started 5 in cups with some loose soil, transplanted them to a mixture of 2 parts perlite, 2 parts vermiculite, 2 parts peat moss, 2 parts dehydrated cow manure, and 5 parts quality soil. Being a complete rook, added two thirds of a tablespoon of 2 parts miracle gro in-ground fertilizer pellets (10-10-10) with 1 part ammonium sulfate bits an inch deep into each 1 gallon pot. Im flushing the pots tomorrow, which should take care of the ammonium sulfate because of its high water solubility, but im not sure what flushing will do to the miracle gro pellets. They were started outdoors, but then moved under a 10,000 lux light box made out of three full spectrum fluorescents until they were at two weeks. Then they were moved into a 4.5 x 1.5 x 7 ft closet (pic), with the light box vertically mounted on the side and one 30w (100w equivalent) CFL per plant about 1 inch above the plant. The closet is really long, so on the other side its holding a bunch of storage, but the walls are white and the door is brown. The temp is being kept at around 78 f, but a fan is being put in tomorrow to keep it cooler and add a breeze. The stems are purple but the plants look healthy, except at certain points in certain angles they look very dark green until I shift my perception. The pictures should explain more. I just picked up some newmans organic fish fertilizer with micro and macro nutrients, which is stupid because im going to be going to a hydro supply store which will have the necessary pre-mixed gro nutes I need for the veg stage.

basically what I need to know is what im doing wrong, and then how to fix it.

Flushed each with a flushing solution and distilled water 2 days ago, 2 gallons per pot. Some of the plants got dirt on them during flushing and maybe 2 leaves got holes in them, but everything was scraped off and they are starting to perk back up. I have hydrozyme or whatever the enzyme solution is, going to add it with the next watering. When should I introduce the progrow I bought?

Alright, two days after flushing, the leaves are starting to get light spotting and one tip of a leaf on one has turned completely white, seems dead. I believe the soil got rather compacted and a lot of perlite came to the surface of the soil during flushing. They are still rather wet and the soil levels have gone down. The humidity in the closet is rather high, just added a second fan to cool the temps and dry it up. Anything I can do to make em look healthy again? I have an enzyme solution, hydrozyme or something, thats supposed to be very good for all of these types of situations, however I cant add it until this soil is dried out.

I think i would change the soil and get rid of the miracal grow, that way you can have a bit more control over any more nutes
hope this helps

yeah, how do i change the soil?
your going insane with nutrients... that soil should have plenty of nutrients for 2-3 months. stop adding shit. and dont flush soil - youll make things worse.

Miracle grow is a great soil not sure how people manage to hurt thier plants. As long as you use the correct miracle grow its awesome.Always use Miracle moisture control soil only never regular or potting soil.Dont give nutes when using MG soil for at least 30 days.Light water as it has water crystals to keep soil moist as needed. Now back to the question at hand. The cfls will grow you nothing and take for ever and cost more then a 400 watt hps light when you actually have enough bulbs to grow. You can help the extra months cfl will had or the fire hazard using so many and they heat up an area fast,Manure may not be so good.Looks like bark or shredded somthing in the one pic dont ever use that.Use straight miracle grow moisture control I use it for my mommies and always is greta 4 foot moms in under 50 days.Dark green compact nodes and 11 inch fan leaves under 4 foot shop lights. Then clones go under the hps lights for growing enhnaced spectrum bulbs

Jeeeeez, way wrong

I PUT miracle-gro granular 10-10-10 plant food in BEFORE, i ALREADY flushed it out. AFTER the flushing, my plants look sick. After flushing with the flushing solution there shouldnt be any more fertilizer salts right? The plants are starting to pick up and are looking better, except for the few holes in em. Next watering im putting the hydrozyme or whatever in and quarter strength of pro-grow. Is there anything WRONG with this idea?

By the way, they are much larger then the picture right now. They look a lot like techs except the leaves dont look as sick.

If you truely flushed it out, great. Next, you still do not need to add nutrients. Again i say, stop going crazy with the nutrients - you will have plenty of fun with nutrients later, during flowering, and AFTER the plant has used the nutrients in the soil.

Don't jump to flushing your soil again, sometimes this will cause more porblems than it will solve. Potting soil without miracle grow or the pellets still have nutrients, you don't need to feed the plants right off the bat.

Im sorry its just that your information was contradictory to what ive been told by others for the whole process (other sites, guy at the hydroponics store) that the nutes in the mixture will probably run out in 2-3 WEEKS rather than months, so I had no idea. I must stress again that those pictures aren't recent, and the plants seem to be regenerating to full health. Ill have some more pictures tomorrow. They are definitely starting to perk up, the soil is starting to dry out. Whats the point of grow nutes if youre only supposed to use them during flowering? Are there many schools of thought on this or are you just not supposed to use them?

The slow release miracle grow is what i said can last months, yes - the soil will run out in 2-4 weeks. A Cannabis indoor plant is usually not vegged over 4 weeks, which is why you dont usually need vegtative nutrients.

not to mention the plant needs plenty of nutes during flowering as well.

Wow man, thank you so much, I appreciate the info. I have a hydro supply store nearby, what should i pick up for flowering products and how should i apply them? They have just about every brand there.

There are very many great nutrients. Some better for soil, some better for hydro. Fox Farms Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom is a good combination for soil. I also hear Jack's Classic is very good too.

Time release ferts are a bitch when it comes to cannabis.
