3 Pound Goal

Does anybody here think that 3 pounds is a attainable goal with 3 600w hps ? for a first time grower with about 6 grand to spend.

shoot for .5 grm per watt of light in floering room each month

wow 6 grand is a lot of money to spend on a grow op.
if you have that kinda money the only question is how big of a space can you get your hand on.

get 3 1k lights and maybe, not gonna cut it with 3 600's. You obviously have the money so why stick with 600's? also get a nice co2 set up, and I think you could pull it off. Your also going to need around 75 sq ft in my opinion, could possibly be done in a bit less.

hmm with that kind of money, and 3 600w..... I would say your best bet is to liquid cool those sons of bitches, slam those bad boys 6 inches away from your little buddies and you will get more lumens to your pants from your 600w liquid cooled vs a 1000w air cooled, just because you can get them so close. 600w if done right can get the same effect as a 1000w. even though some may disagree, IMO its about getting enough lumens to the plant rather than just calculating watts. The grow faq has a chart somewhere in it which shows lumens per bulb and the distance from the ground in which lumens reach.... maybe i found it on another site... not sure

and yes CO2 can really help your yield..... ive seen a 2 oz average go to 3 1/2 almost 4 oz

I had 5 white widows and 2 bag seed, with a 400 and 600, they finished at about 4ft...... I got 1.5 lbs to give you and idea

I have a friend that ran 2 600's over a true 4' x 8' table--he had 27 plants that he was growing in soil---the table could hold 50---he used co2 at 1300 ppm but ran out for the last two weeks-i got to see the plants and can say they were not in the best shape--(sorry JT--your still my bro) he had air cooled hoods---he pulled an easy 1 and 1/2 pound out of it-(gods treat)---at any time almost anyone could pull 2 pounds out of that set-up maby more----the pot's he grew in were 5 gallon(they looked more like 3 to 3 1/2) 50 would fit tight. the point is---if you find a good strain(med to heavy producer) you should be able to get 3 pounds no problem with 3 600's and co2. note: he feed the plants with sucranat from week 1 to week 7 he flushed the last 10 days. the plants took 59 days in flower. They buds were not super dense but still carried the weight--the smell was very spisy and changed to a almost coco/chocolate smell after 30 days in the jar--the med was very,very nice--strong in the head,med on the body-medicated for 3-4 hours at a time-good night time meds to relax to. good pain rel.
