Sweet :) ..Signs of sex on any?.oh what i would do for 2 pounder seeds ... u mentioned ants, until you see damage on the plant i would do nothing to them, i have heard of things such as capsicum(any pepper core with seeds) water, and tobacco water would drive away the pests, (i have not tried the tobacco water personally) about a week ago i had used pepper water (idk if it will alter my plant tho) and not even squirrels will go by :)

If they are not eating your plants then they may be feeding on the insect life.
In that case they should be welcome.

Just water the ground. You can mist the leaves with water if you want, but only do it in morning or evening... not in full mid-day sun (the reflection through the water can burn the leaves). There is no reason to do that though. And never mist the actual buds... you don't want to encourage bud rot.

Flowering length is dependent on the strain. Sativas take longer then indicas. Indica's might flower for 8 to 10 weeks, Sativas might be 12 or even 15. A lot of it also depends on what latitude you live at.

My indicas had very noticeable female pre-flowers by late July this year. But indicas are generally earlier then sativas. Last year I grew sativas and they didn't start flowering until late August.

your plants look pretty good. Are you feeding them? If so, what are you feeding them? Which plant is it the ants go to? Where are you located (generally)? were they just stuck strait into the ground, or did you amend it/add top soil? The yellowing/dying leaves could be a sign of lack of certain nutrients, though I would have to see better pics to say. As far as your questions... You can water the entire plant, just not recommended that you water ground and leaves at the same time, and also recommended that you don't water leaves when they are going to be in direct sunlight and its hot. The flower cycle takes as long as you let it, it is different for different plants, but usually 60-90 days (Don't water your leaves/foliar feed your plants during flowering, it will cause mold) depending on the strain and environment). Budding is the flowering process. I would recommend giving your plants a Catalyst and other bloom nutes when your outdoor light cycle hits 12/12, and keep feeding them whatever the recommended doses are. Good luck....

thanks for responding. im in cali.ive been taking it 1 day at a time, just watering the ground once a week. another quick question i have is clipping fan leaves? should i clip bottom leaves or just let the plant be and just cut leaves with brown or yellow on them?

i had these in pots to start off,the purples were in miracle grow,i moved them into the ground mid june. ive been just letting them do there thing .i have a friend who prepares a boost+veggie mixture (dont know the name) so i do that once every OTHER week.Besides that, i do nothing else. and the ants are closest to the purple plants.

the purple plant with the yellowing leaves (about the ants)? Leave as many fan leaves as you can, as long as you can.... I don't usually trim unless I see PM coming, or the leaves turn more than 40% yellow. After a few weeks into flowering, I slowly work from the bottom of the plant to the top taking the fan leaves (just not too many at any one time). Does your friend make this mix every other week? Is it a compost tea? Those are very good for plants, though you might want to check with your friend about what is going into the mix, to make sure they get enough P and K during the flower cycle.

once flowering starts, we have another mixture of nutrients waiting, boost + flowering, plus something called sugar daddy.

great advice, ill hold off on triming till im well into flowering. my friend is mixing it every other week,so its 1 week nutri, then the other week would be st8 water, then nutri the following week and so on. yes it is tea like.

I meant more sunrise to sunset. Tea's are great! You might want to water twice a week now instead of once a week, and increase your feedings to once a week. When you grow in soil both water and nutrients spread themselves thinner faster, so its better to give them that little extra. Especially now since they should start flowering sometime in the next three weeks. If you increased water and nutrients, I am almost 100% sure you'll see immediate results in growth, to get those two pounders up to maybe a half pound harvest!

wish i can say what kind of nutri's im useing, but im using half a gallon for each plant.so i should bump it up to a gallon per week? and water twice per week? if so,how long do i water after i add nutri's

one gallon sounds perfect, watering twice a week wouldn't hurt either (though if you stick your finger down in the soil and its watery, hold off on watering). Not sure what you mean exactly about watering after nutrients...

like ive been consistent on watering on wednesdays, so it was first week wed would be nutris, then i would wait till sat or sunday night to do a light water, then following wednesday it would be a full watering then another light water sat or sunday and then .then back to nutri's on wednsday and so on...

its always good to mix your nutes with your water, and then water a bit more pure water too when you feed nutes, better spread, less likely to burn.
