Good morning everybody.
With this journal, I will be flowering the same strain from seed in 3 separate cabinets using 3 different light spectrums.
I will also make my second attempt to grow autoflowers

The regular feminized seeds are from The Vault Seeds and are called Good Shit. The autoflowers are from ILGM and are Skittlez.
Soil: Purple Cow Organics Indiana
Light: Led Habitats Root Max 100w at the plug for veg
Trays: Custom modified Led Habitats Auto-water trays

The plan: veg the good shit seeds for about 4 weeks then move each one into a different cabinet with a different spectrum. Move the Skittlez under our original 420 flower light after about a week.
Reason: to get numbers from the results. Potency, terpenes and yield are equally important! The Skittlez simply because I love the way it looks and want to grow it. Especially as an autoflower. And because we love growing weed!

Day 6: 11/2
The first seed sprouted 2 days ago. All but one good shit has sprouted by now. I hope the late comer will catch up soon.

Light is raised here, filled the lower water reservoir for the first time after planting.

Far right is the Skittlez, the other 3 are the Good Shit.

I will be posting every 2-4 days.

Autocorrect! The brand is Purple Cow, the name of the soil is Indicanja.
Haha ok i got excited lol i thought that i was able to find some local soil as i plant vegetable gardens just about every year and i never use fertilizer just plain water in Indiana dirt and i get the biggest cucumbers and jalapenos ive ever seen anywhere. Probably all the runoff fertilizer from the farmers crops on 3 sides of our property

That is pretty funny!
We have been using Purple Cow for nearly 5 years. Mostly, we use their seedling mix. We brought in the Indicanja for some of our cannabis customers and ourselves. We really like their soil. Very high quality.

Quick update: all 5 seeds have now sprouted. I guess, with fall temps dropping in my garage, germination took a bit longer for one of the Skittlez.
Fyi. I don't germinate in a paper towel. I put seeds straight into soil.

could have been water droplets burning through the leaf with the light so close. I ws thinking bugs because I'm battling them myself lol!

Day 11:
Today was a busy day.
Added water to the lower trays

Raised the light from 3" to 5" to lower the par on the babies. I also switched from 24h light to 18/6.

Above front right you can see the latecomer to the party. The second Skittlez.
Below, the strongest, first to sprout Good Shit

For size reference, the trays measure about 14" long x 10" wide x 4" tall. The trays I'm using are a custom version of the Auto-water trays by LED Habitats. The standard trays hold 2 1/2 quarts of soil. These hold 5 quarts of soil.

Day 14:
The Good Shit seedlings are doing great. They're staying low to the soil and are getting nice and wide. The Skittlez autoflower are continuing to struggle. One is ok, but small. The other two are just not doing anything. I'm thinking the temps inside my garage have dropped too much. This morning it was only 65f inside my grow cabinet.
