3 leaf per node

Hi everyone. I was doing regular maintenance today and I noticed one of my plants was growing 3 leaves from 1 node. The strain is Nirvana Bubblelicious.

Is this a common thing with this strain or is a genetic mutant? If anyone has any info that would be greatly appreciated.

I was just reading a post a few days ago and some guy had the same thing and was asking same question. There was some interesting info about how much of a good thing you have there! I will look through my viewed posts and see if i can find it for you!

Thanks greenjambo, I'm going to be taking clones for mothers within the next couple of days.

So I was wondering if it would be a good genetic mother despite the deformity.

im not to sure about this subject but my friend was telling me the three leaf is like a defect , and it often begins on clones. if those are pics of the branches if you clone it i think the same node form would happen.

I have 1 plant that is spitting out 3 leaf nodes like crazy. I'm not sure if its a defect or what is going on but its my strongest growing plant.

GL on figuring it out

it's not really uncommon. most grow out of it, and as for genetics or defects, it's still a plant from the same strain, there's nothing wrong with it.

you might find some posts about these being bigger yielders, but that only really applies if you flower them early. once they begin to alternate, they begin growing one node at a time, just like normal plants.
