:weed::weed:ok so im 3 days from my first grow being 8 weeks. was a super cheap grow only had 2 55w cfls and 2 of those plant flood lights you can get at lowes. miracle grow cactus soil and nutes untill the last 4 weeks or so then got eco bloom. the 400w in the last pic i just got last week. sorry the pics are so crappy my camera is as cheap as my grow was lol but what do you guys think they look like i can chop them in 3 days or need longer. strain is ww thanks guys!!

nahh bro wait til about 70% the pistils turn red.. you know like "red hairs" ;)
 
some people wait for the hairs to turn 75% red, this is the absolute earliest but if it is an 8 week strain you should go atleast 9 weeks, once you reached 9 weeks you should be good to go, you have worked and waited this long might aswell take your time and let it ripen to get as good as you can get

very very good advice there morris.. i agree completely.. i have been reading alot of posts lately where peps keep asking about cutting early and whatnot, and i think that is the biggest mistake a lot of newb's can make.. like morris said, you have gotten this far, why rush it now only to know that it would have been all that much better had you waited a lil longer..
i also like the old adage about.. when you think she is done, wait another week.. i also believe that when a breeder says that a strain will be done in 8 weeks or whatever, it is just a loose guideline at best as there are too many factors that play into when a strain will finish, and instead of going by the breeder in black and white, i like to let the plant tell me when its ready instead.. will never go wrong that way..

that looks like a pretty heavy sativa, u might be in fer another few weeks, it looks like she could use alot more time tho fer sure. those buds will start 2 plump up in a week er so dood

id say at least another week or so, to many white hairs on that one to cut it down. if u can get a microscope and have a look at the tricomes. looks for about 50/50 white/amber colour for a good high

well if u wait til theyr more amber than ur high will b more of a couchlock, stoney, lethargic high.

but if u cut wen trikes r cloudy (not white) then u will have a more active, thinky high, just depends wat ur into i guess?
 
that plant has about 2 weeks left! the hell with one week, let it go about 2 more and watch the weight just pack on. that is a sativa dominant and sativa dominants do not finish in 8 weeks, they usualy take around 10-14. ive seen one take 17 weeks! let her do her thing, like morris said, you put so much time and effort in, give her two more weeks. start flushing if you havent.

bah ok they are like 50% red right now i dont know why you cant see any of the red hairs in the pics guess cuz of the flash. thanks for the reply though as promised + rep =D
 
it will also depend on what type of genetics are contained in your strain..i didn't see you post the name, so I assume you prob don't know it, however it looks as if it is mostly sativa..if you've only had it for 8 weeks, then I would say you should wait at least 2 more weeks maybe more..but as the others stated before the pistils are good indicators
 
was this ur first grow if so u did a bang up job and with limited nutes and cfls for the most part this is proof that u can grow good bud without all the high priced nutes on the market today one rule i go by is dont over do it if u can do that then u will get good results good job bro cant wait to see ur next one

please wait another couple of weeks at least. you will truly be surprised. that is a sativa, she needs much more than 8 weeks. good job so far, dont harvest her! thats the biggest mistake most first time growers make, is harvesting too soon

lol thought it was indica sativa mix but everyone keeps saying its mainly sativa .

yeah this was my first grow i cant wait for the next one either. now i have the 400w mh/hps organic nutes jiffy pots rockwool all kinds of new toys lol im excited.
