well the res change went well. while doing so i noticed the buds lower down the plant seem to have some brown hairs developing . but the top half of the plant have not a single one

do you think the light being to close is slowing the maturing of the top part of the plant?

i was thinking about cutting a massive amount of leaf off the plant. to reveal all them buds that are not getting light do you think i should?

my thoughts are the plants are done. growing. making bud. now the only thing they are doing is maturing. so what i am thinking is if i take all this leaf off the plant there would be just buds sitting under my light. then they will all mature instead of just the ones peaking out the canape and the cola.

i know everyone say No .. Not The (FAN leafs)...but i mean how much do they do for maturing buds?
am i wrong to say they are done producing and just maturing? i will post a pick here soon.

i have been reading alot of back and forth arguments on this punning 2 weeks before harvest and i just feel i am starting to side with the benefits of having the light mature the buds that i have rather then leave all the leaf and get a half of a plant of harvest. i mean there is a LOT of undeveloped buds under my canape. and they are not going to be shit unless they get light.

now if i just harvest in 2 weeks and only cut half the plant off and then through some nuts in there and bud them for 2 more weeks i can see that maybe working. but i think i would rather just cut all the leaf off and have my buds bathing in the light.

some input would be great on this :D
and im not looking to have any kind of argument ether i just would like some feedback on this method.

I think I would go with the two harvests and leave the foliage, I have done this and didn't like the outcome. The buds really swell and grow the last two weeks, this is what really made me not want to take 2 full weeks of flushing out of my plants. I like taking some of the leaf out that are huge and blocking allot of light, it's natural to do that when utilizing high density growing. Ultimately it's your choice I just personally didn't like the outcome of this method but I'm in no way a geniuse lol.

cool thanks for your point of view :D

this is varry dense. to say the least. lol

so anyways here is some picks of it as it is now.

there is so much leaf i have to wade through it to see all this light green buds that will most likely never mature ... sigh i prolly could fill a jar with it....;/

i do not know what to do but i got to do some thing. all the stuff on the top maturing will maybe fill a jar... i need 2 jars to make it till next harvest Lol!

Sigh... i really should not have put 12 in the tent LOL

more like 6 would have been a lot more realistic.

Yeah this is just crazy PACKED!

Hey big remove the dead shit for sure! And from what i see just doing that will help a ton. I think the leaves being that
Way is a build up of salts in the medium! Really nothing you can do now, but next time i think a mini flush right before
A res change everytime might help with this build up. Il give you a run down next time its convienent.

One thing to remember, do what you feel is right! Its a learning game right now and your going to do good on this
So dont let those leaves bother you much! Drgreentm knows his shit and is a trusted friend

cool. so salts build up in the rock wool? i am starting to see why and how this could happen. but wouldn't each flood with fresh nutes flush out the salts?

on another note HR do you think it would be good to just take out the big leaf in the dense area's that was mentioned?

Just remove what it takes to open it up so light gets through!

Everytime you add new nutes without a good flush it just builds up, this is how im understanding it.
I have never done this before, but i have seen this type of thing with technoflora

it do look a lot alike... but i only seen that like that at flushing time this seems oddly early....

O guess that's the dif between 20 something 2 gallon pots and a 45 gal res vs a small flood table and 25 gal res ...hmmm

k so i took you alls advise and will practice that idea on some thing less impotent. like a clone grown solely to see if a full prune at last 2 weeks is to my liking.

so anyways here is what i did. i cut a lot of the dead out including cola leaf i just sniped half the leaf off, hopefully it will just seem like it crumbled away.

i did remove 5 or 6 Big fan leafs in the center canape out of all the 12 plants. to my surprise it really opened it up. then i did a lil LST and tied the buds Again and pulled them away from key areas were lots of light green buds that were (not) popcorn size ..but larger. so now there looks to be plenty of light rays making it down the plants in key spots hopefully by harvest after LST around the tent opening more key spots i can get them developed. here is some pics of how it is after a lil TLC and LST + punning.
