2x 315 CMH Vs 600watts of qb

Hey guys and girls

Which would produce more ?

I already have 600 watts of cobs

I want to spend my money wisely and any in sight would be great.

600watts of cobs beat the ass off a 600hps

Now I have more capital to play with I'm looking to up my yeilder and quality

I can pull a kg off 600wats of cobs and 600 hps in my set up

I'll probably add another to auto pots to bring me to ten

I hear the CMH is amazing, and I'm getting ready to try a 315 in a closet as soon as it comes in. I would try the two cmh's.

Will two CMH smash a 600watt qb panel tilted ? I like the idea of blended spectrum

I think one cmh would smash the led.

Nothing out there is going to “smash” Boards or COBs.

This would be the qb kit I was looking at ordered of kingbrite before and I was very happy with the speed of delivery

The QBs will produce more but just slightly. With the huge difference in price I would go cmhs. On a side note that mutch light would bennifit from co2 enrichment. I would get cmhs and with the money saved get a co2 system

There is only about 150e in difference

1kg between the two lights, 600w hps and cobs?

What sort of space are you running? 4x8?

And a 600hps budget it bulb and digital ballast in a 2x2 meter area I will be adding reflective stuff on the walls, ceiling and floor next run

Do that asap you wouldn't believe the difference in reflective walls and non. I knew there would be a lil difference but it was huge.

If we're talking about Amazon blurples you might be right, but QBs are where its at.

Nah proper qb with Samsung chip. I did blurples and they sucked floppy donkey dick. Not bad as adding to spectrum but not a main light

2 SS 315 watt cmh lights, 2 plants, gave me a finished weight of 26oz, from seed, in about 100 days.. 1 light over each plant in a 24"x32" scrog screen.. 315 watt CMH are only a few percent less efficient than the same wattage of the better leds. i can link to the post of the plants in a cmh thread if you want....

CMH 315w are a viable light. Probably the best HID.

There is also a plant in coco/perlite under a 430 watt hps on that page... 8 oz from that plant.. I only used Floranova bloom as the only fertilizer on all three plants, feed as a Lucas formula..

I can chime in and say that 2 SunSystem LEC'S really did me right. They also used next to nothing on my power bill. I ran the 240v versions.
