Hi Guys,

sorry for the delay in updating you. I've had a bit of a rocky start witth the new breeds (Lowryder mint & Little red ryder hood) but my LR#2 is doing really well, and 2 of my Lowryder mints are doing well & I finally got a Little red ryder hood to pop the surface. None of the other Lowrdyer mints (5) or the other 4 Little red ryder hoods have shown any signs of life, although I did dig down a bit in a Lowryder mint and saw one that was beginning to grow but that still aint surfaced yet!

I've been keeping them well watered and under the light, hopefully they'll pop eventually. I did email the company who sold me the Little red ryder hood seeds to make them aware and they said that they didn't have any other problems with these seeds, and they kindly sent me replacements for all my Little red ryder hoods. I'm gonna give the ones I planted another week and if nothing, then I'm gonna start on these ones, they say they are form a different batch too, which is all positive! They did make a good point that I should have checked the PH of my water when they wouldn't germ, so have got ph strips for my next batch. I boiled the water and let it cool before when I germed, could that have afftected it?

Below are some pictures. Basically the one on the front is my 3 weeks & 1 day old (from beginning of germing to now, began germing it on the 14th feb, planted on 16th feb) Lowryder #2 female, the one's on the back from left to right are a Lowrdyer mint (began germing 19th feb, planted 21st feb), my only tiny little red ryder hood (began germing 19th feb, planted still ungermed 25th feb) and another lowrdyer mint (began germing 19th feb, planted 22nd feb). There's another pick here of me soaking the other pots in the bath (with the shower hose, I didn't drench them, they are draining in the bath) but they are also usually kept in my grow cupboard. You'll notice an extra unmarked pot here, thats the unknown seed that I just banged straight in the soil.

All of my Little red ryder hoods were planted on the 25th feb, still ungermed. I accidentally destroyed 2 of the seeds trying to crack them. Of the yet to show there faces Lowryder Mints, 2 of them were planted on the 21st feb and the remaining 3 on the 22nd feb.

And yet nothing! Any suggestions? What can I do to make them grow (remember I'm going all organic here) or how long should I give them before I give up on them? This is already putting my grow well behind, the only reliable one seems to be the trusty Lowryder #2. I've been keeping this pretty close to the light, hence the shortnesss, but I did today move a shelf down to make it further away to stretch it a little.

Tell me what you think guys. Anyone else ever had this problem germing seeds?

Any advice, suggestion or comments from fellow autoflower growers? Would be much appreciated!

Hello All!

Please see the pictures below on this weeks update. I've just re-potted the 2nd Lowryder Mint, both my Lowryder Mints have sexed and shown to be Female! Horray, I spotted the long white hairs poking out. The Little Red Ryder Hood that showed its head the other week is going really slow and looks mutated, tell me what you think.

Also as a surprise this week, another one of the ones that I thought was dead popped up this week, tiny as it is, another Little Red Ryder Hood. I also planted another 2 Little Red Ryder Hoods today to make up for my crappy sucess rate. As of yet none of the others have shown their faces. I have to say that the Little Red Ryder Hood seeds are difficult to germ. Even with this new batch that were sent as replacements are a bit stubborn, with only 2 of them being just about viable to plant only showing a tiny bit of tap root since I started germing them on monday and the remaining 5 showing no signs of cracking yet. I will persevere!

The first pic is of them all together. The second Pic is of my Lowryder #2, doing very well. the third is of my oldest Lowrdyer Mint, the fourth of my youngest Lowryder Mint, the fifth of the Little Red Ryder Hood that looks mutated and has stunted growth and the 6th of the new Little Red Ryder Hood that popped its head this week after about a month of planting! The seventh is another group photo and the 8th another shot of my Lowrdyer #2

Please comment and tell me how you think it is going. I'm planning to start treating some with bio bizz organic bloom this week, well at least the Lowryder #2 and my 2 Lowrdyer Mints.

I hope that this multi-auto flower grow is proving useful. :bigjoint:

Best of luck, Trumpetblush, on your Lowryder grow. I’m kind of surprised on how little other forum members will comment on these auto-flowering strains. Some trash talk about low yield and potency and make snooty comments about diluting the gene pool.

I can understand ‘experts’ passing on these new innovative strains right now but I feel a few are just hypocritical when they put other members down for doing some experimentation. How do they think all these powerful and yummy exotics, like White Widow, become so established?

I just read a recommendation in one of the largest cannabis magazines that suggest trying some of the new feminized auto-flowing strains like Taiga & Tundra from Dutch Passion (www.dutch-passion.nl) and the auto-flowing, feminized SkyRyder and CriticalRyder developed by Shantibaba (www.vu-du.com).

It reminds me of the time when an old girlfriend of mine travelled around the country giving free wine tasting presentations for a group of wine distributors. She mentioned that she could always spot folks from California because they would by-pass the best domestics in favor of famous imported brand names. While some of best wines in the world come from California, many yuppies from that state don’t know jack about wine but they are all seem to be expert wine posers and wantabes. Much like cannabis…

Blaze the trail brother and keeps us informed of any new and interesting discoveries.

Okay, it's only been a couple of days since my last update but my mutant Little Red Ryder Hood is freaking me out! Its all twisted and wierd, like gremlin leaves, but has a normal looking mini branch forming on it with normal leaves.

Its wierd man, gonna carry on with this to see how it turns out.

Its little sibling however looks just like how it should. I did try to crack these Little Red Ryder Hood seeds cos they just weren't germing, did I deform it?

To show the variation in one breed, compare my 2 Lowryder Mints. They are both flowering, and the older is only 1 day older, but they look very different, one small and bushy, the other strectchy and tall.

Anyway here's a bunch of pics, please comment. In order, the first 6 are of my mutant Little Red Ryder Hood. This also has really stunted growth. Please comment and tell me what you think.

Pic 7 is of my younger Little Red ryder hood, see the difference!

Pic 8 is of my oldest Lowrdyer Mint, pic 9 of the one day younger Lowryder Mint and finally pic 10 of the trusty Lowryder #2.
