2nd Grow with RQS Royal Dwarf Autoflower. Trying new Hans panel LED grow lights.

Did my first ever grow with the same strain (RQS Royal Dwarf Autoflower). Used cheap Ebay LED lights (40w) for my closet grow. With newbie mistakes I only got the plant to 6 inches tall and only got about 10g of dried buds.

I have bought new LED lights from bonsaihero.com (Hans panel 60w), plus I got new 2 gallon airpots and GH trio nutes. Still using coco coir but mixed it with 20% perlite. Buffered the coco at 5.5ph and CaliMagic (CalMag). Soaked the seeds last Nov 13, and transferred it to the pot on the 15th. The plant has sprouted and I just watered it for the first time with 1/2 strength of the recommend GH trio feed chart for seedlings. I also added 1/2 strength Aquashield and CalMag. Set the Hans panel to seedling mode and distanced the lights at 18" from the seedling, lights on 24/7. Temps are at 77.7F RH 48%.

I would appreciate any suggestions/constructive criticism. :)

Day 6:

Switched the lights to mother mode and moved it closer at 15". Coco still feels wet so I have not watered her for the 2nd time yet.

Day 11:

I was bored yesterday and watered the plant twice. It seemed to love it as it was perky the whole day! Can I continue doing this with coco/perlite?

Some growers tell you to wait until it is dry, like soil. But I have also read it is not soil, it is hyrdo, so you shouldn't treat it and react to it as if it were soil. They say to water every day, regardless of it being super dry or not.

Both seem right, but i think the hydro makes a bit more sense

Hey man! You could wet a towel and maybe leave her in, close to your intake.
Humidity like as much as 80% helps a lot in these stages! :-o

Edit: Are you still using Royal Dwarf?

CoolDudeStuff: Hey! Yes this grow is Royal Dwarf still.

GroenJoe: Im gonna try to water often since the plants seem to like it. I jist hope this doest lead to any nasty plant problems like root rot.

Day 16:

Im watering 1-4 times a day now. Basically when I have time, I water the plants. It seems like it does not mind the constant feedings since it stays perky the whole light-on period. Im still giving it less than 1/2 of the recommended nute dosage.

So far this grow is 2x faster than my previous one. I don't know if its the new LED panels, my air pot, the perlite I added to my coco or the new nutes, but I must be doing something right. LOL.

I also noticed that there are roots growing out the bottom of my air pot, do I need to be concerned or will it eventually just get itself air pruned?

Day 18:

Using notes at 1/2 strength still. Im planning to go full strength when I finish my last batch of mixed nutes. I usually mix a new batch every week and drop an airstone down the container to keep it aerated. Using GH Trio with Protekt, CaliMagic & aquashield.

No bugs or any other problems yet :knock on wood: LED panel positioned at 18" distance.

Day 20:

Plant still growing at very fast pace. I'm switching to 2ml/gallon of GH Gro/Micro/Bloom for this week, I was planning to give it the full recommended dose but since I don't see any deficiency, I will be sticking to my "less is best" policy when it comes to nutes. :)

I am watering the plant as often as possible about 1-4 times a day at about half a liter per watering.

Day 22: At the end of the 3rd week the plant is already taller than the one I harvested my last grow :)

I just got a TDS pen today! I scrapped my old nute plan and began giving her 4ml/gallon of GH Gro/Micro & 2.5ml/gallon of GH Bloom plus 4ml/gal CaliMagic, 3ml/gal SM-90 and 1ml/gal ProTekt for week 4. This new mix came to about 960ppm (.5 factor) using water from my faucet. My first runoff test after watering was 750ppm.

Day 23:

Today, I tested the PH of my weekly mix which was mixed about 4 days ago and the PH was all the way up to 6.5+, is this normal?

Do I need to change something with my mixing and watering routine or do I keep it as is? Do mixed nutrients normally go up in PH when its aerated?

Day 26:

Mixing 4ml/gallon of all 3 GH Trio nutes, at nearly 1000ppm, 5.5ph . Alternating nutes and pure water every watering, watering 3x a day.

I got a little nute burn up top. Damn she doesn't like aggressive feeding at all! Gonna cut back to maybe 75% of the recommended dose. Flushed her a few hours ago with pure PH'ed water. I also lowered the LED panel to 15" from canopy.
