2nd attempt at designing a grow tent

i have a 6'L x 5'W x 3' H tent ive been messing around with this a couple weeks now and still havent made progress.my temps get up to 105 degrees i need help on lowering temps without having to put a loud ac up there and without spending alot of money.i will only be using this once.my 2nd grow does not have to be stealth.i plan on putting 2 medium plants using scrog method. "warlock & bcn diesel" ive been reading alot ive been told i need alot of air circulation and water.onto the pics.ive moved stuff around a bunch of times trying to get better results.this is where i last left everything.

It really is a tent !! at 1st glance I wanted to laugh hard.. but then I thought, well some people are hard up for cash and make do with what they have.. theres no real reason why it shouldnt work.. but I was kinda wondering what light you are going to flower with? I mean HPS in a tent spells DANGER to me, is it an old tent you dont mind cutting into, or are you planning to sleep under the stars in it one day? You could make this work and work fairly well.. but there are a lot of things to sort out if you wanna produce nice ladies in there, outta interest how many where you planning on growing in there? - STELTHY

Attic in summer seems hot to start.

If you can't see how expecting to see a grow tent,and then a pic pops up with a real tent is funny you got bigger problems then temps.

No matter what you do your still going to have to spend money.If I were in your situation I would get bundle of or two of insulation and wrap as much of that tent as possible even lay a few in front of the opening when its closed. then find some way to suck in cooler air into the tent like if your air ducts are in your ceiling take a room that needs cool air the least (bathroom,etc.)and use the ducting to that room and attach it to the tent. Then either suck in the cooler air. If you don't have ducting in your ceiling then you should at least have a vent to outside somewhere up there and attach ducting and an inline fan to that and run your lights at night when the air outside is cooler.Also you can get a decent inline fan for under a 100$ and it is def. something your going to need in the future anyway so I highly suggest getting one if you don't have ac ducting up there. im sure they would cheap if you know were to get them

Rasta, you don't say what the attic temps are or is the 105 the attic and not inside the tent? It's sort of my position that growing in attics is never a good idea, it's the hottest place in the house. You can't cool a 105 deg tent with 95 deg room air. Making this work without some form of A/C is going to be a real battle.

yup, in 1 of my first threads i built a custom grow-tent out of pvc pipping but i couldnt justify spending soo much money on panda film. so i went to walmart and bought this tent for $20 lol. i already cut the shit out of it on the top to pump out my exhuast so i dont think ima sleep under the stars with this.its specially for this grow and this grow only.i will probablly throw it away when im done.ive spent $140 already trying to "grow weed" i should of just bought a cheap tent on ebay.but im still a noob and i got too excited and just started buying shit.honestlly i was planning on putting all of the 14 seeds i just bought from attitude in there.lol but as i think about it more its not going to fit. so im working on the "warlock and bcn diesel" that u see up there^^^. 2 plants in a scrog . as for lights. u can see i only have 1 t12 up. i have another t12 and 92 watts of cfl im going to add in there once i get the temps down. no h.i.d lights.

i can see where you coming from.lol trust me . when i was at walmart picking out a tent i died laughing. but i aint laughing no more cuz even if i bought a real grow-tent im still fucked with this heat. + its been raining cats n dogs and still has not helped with my temps.

what kind of insulation are you referring to? i didnt really want to tap into any of the ducts but it looks like theres no other choice. if i were to get a inline sucking up air from outside. temps outside get up to 100 so i would be sucking in hott air rite?

the temps inside of the tent are alwayz like 3 degress higher then the overall temp of the attic. today the attic read 99.1 degrees and inside of the tent with door closed read 103.5.

i plan on leaving lights on for at least 20 hours a day, i noticed it gets hotter during the day like around 1-5 p.m

Your results are going to suck anyway you go about it. You dont have proper lighting, you don't have a proper room, and you don't want to seem to put any money into what your doing. When I talk to a new grower I always tell them to buy the proper equipment the first time around because you will end up spending more and making less if you don't buy the right equipment. Scrog is a bitch to take care of because its really hard to get to all sides unless its in the middle of a room and once they are in a scrog you will not be able to move your plants. You should really just scrap the tent and build things properly and get real equipment because you are going to have nothing but trouble the way your going about it now. I would save 1000$ or start buying proper equipment 1 piece at a time and not start growing till you got everything you need. Your going to need ac in your room no matter what and you need to insulate that room to keep the cool air in. You also need proper lights because the lights you are using now aren't going yield anything worth the trouble, proper exhaust for those lights and some sort of smell control. I almost guarantee that if you end up using what you have up there now you will end up with almost nothing for your effort and would have wasted 2 + months.

im not looking for a pro system tough. i just want something growing while im at work and until i move out. if i get 2 or 3 oz's i would be happy.ive seen alot of ppl use cfl's for flowering.i have moved down stairs. ima show u what i mean in a little bit after i get stoned.

im going to put them in here till they get a foot tall.rite now it dont have no ventilation but i will work on that 2marow.i tested out the temps in here today and it got up to 86 degrees.my seeds still havent sprouted.i planted them into the soil after germinating them in paper towel method + i put seram wrap ontop to make greenhouse effect. should i leave the lights on or put them in a dark spot.i got a heat matt under the cups now.

^92 watts of cfl 2700k 1600 lumens . i will replace 2 of them with 6500k's
